Introduction
Your grandfather has died and left the family farm to you. It is up to you to cultivate your land and make the farm a success. To begin "Push the start".
To begin with enter the main character's name. Then select which season you would like his birthday to be in. His birthday is always on the 25th. The family ranch and the main character's dog needs a name as well.
When the game first starts, you can't do much in the house so, walk out of the door to the south. You are greeted by the mayor of the town, who offers to give you a tour of the town.
Starting off (year one)
Clearing the Field
After taking a tour of the town, you're first task is to clean up the farm. Weeds can be picked up and dropped on the ground to destroy them. Alternativly, you can use your sickle, but it will use up energy. Stones can be dropped in the pond to the north, shattered with your hammer, or saved to make a fence. The large stones and stumps must be broken down with the hammer and axe.
If you do stay out all night, you will be forced back into your house at 6:00 am to eat breakfast. If you continually stay out to work all night, you will gradually weaker and weaker and may even succomb to sickness. Should you become sick, you will be forced to stay in bed all day, missing a day of farming. Remember that your chances of getting sick go up much higher when working in the rain.
Depending on how you want to approach the situation, you can either clear out your entire farm before starting other things, or section parts of to be cleared as you need them. Your entire farm can be cleared in 3 days if you work productivly. You will end up with a Silver Hammer if you used it to break all the rocks.
Making your First Money
In the beggining, you only have 300g to work with. With that, you can buy one bag of seeds and plant them in your field. Potatoes have the best Money:Time ratio of the spring crops, so buy them.
In the beggining, the most useful way to make money is probably foraging in the woods for herbs and berries. If you run quickly, you can get a full backpack. Here is a list of foragable items in the spring and what they are worth.
