Default names[edit]
If you leave the character's name blank, the game will simply call him/her "COMMANDO".
Storywise, in the rest of the Bionic Commando series, the male hero is always called RAD (or Radd or Ladd or Lad, depending on translitteration from Japanese).
The only other female hero is featured in Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3, and her name is FOX, but this game was released several years after Elite Forces.
Promotions[edit]
At game start, the two commandos wear a blue uniform. When they collect the first promotion (in Secret Area 16), their uniform will turn red. When they collect the second promotion (in Secret Area 17), their uniform turns yellow.
