Aero Fighters, known as Sonic Wings in Japan, is a series of shooter video games originally released in arcades in 1992. Created by Video System, the games continued to evolve through different console generations until finally the original Aero Fighters was released on the PlayStation 2 in 2005. The last game in the series, Aero Fighters Assault, was released in 1997 for the Nintendo 64 console.
