Professor Layton is a series of puzzle and adventure games developed by Level-5. They star Professor Hershel Layton and his assistant, Luke, as go on adventures and solve mysteries by completing puzzles, large and small. The games are fusions of the traditional point and click adventures and puzzle-based minigames that must be completed to progress. The series has been one of the most successful third party franchises on the Nintendo DS, with Curious Village alone selling 5 million copies.
