Project Sora is a Japanese game developer owned by Nintendo and Sora Ltd, a company founded by Masahiro Sakurai after his resignation from his position at HAL Laboratory. It was founded on January 22, 2009, and is headed by Masahiro Sakurai. To date, its only game has been Kid Icarus: Uprising, which it released after three years of development. It is currently developing the fourth entry in the Super Smash Bros. series for the Wii U and 3DS.
