  • A button - Accelerates/speeds up the kart.
  • B button - Brakes/slows down the kart.
  • B button+Down dpad - Drive backward.
  • Neutral dpad - Turns kart.
  • L button - Stops the item box/uses the current item.
  • R button - Hop/brake the kart harder.
  • L button&R button - Access the Extra Tracks/switch back to the Super Circuit tracks.
  • Start button - Pause a race.
  • Select button - Honks the horn.
