Minibosses

Arachnus

Arachnus is a bipedal, armadillo-type miniboss. When you first encounter it, it is posed as an Item Sphere. It is immune to all your attacks except Bombs. For an advantage, trap it behind the Chozo statue and drop bombs on him. He drops the Spring Ball power-up.

Manual description
"It will roll up its body like an armadillo, then rush at Samus."

Automs are flamethrower robots that rise and shoot flames straight down to hit Samus. They're indestructible, so avoid them.

Autrack

Autracks are robots that shoot lasers on a track when Samus comes close. Its arm extends for shooting and retracts for reloading.

Manual description
"This robotic guardian can be found in various places. They have a long neck that is usually withdrawn, but it will extend it and attack with a laser beam."

Blob

Blobs are thrown by Blob Throwers. They disintegrate a few seconds after launch.

Blob Thrower

Blob Throwers are flower-shaped enemies that spit out Blobs at Samus and contact or the latter will harm you. Shoot at their orifice (where the petals hang from) without their Wave Beam.

"This plant creature spits out little blobs."

Chute Leech

Chute Leeches are pancake shaped enemies. When Samus gets close, it jumps into the air and glides down to harm her. Kill as normally.

Drivel

Drivels are airborne enemies that shoot acid when Samus gets close. The acid causes an explosion. Shoot the acid for an Energy Capsule.

Gawron

Gawrons are odd creatures. They come out of holes to ram you. This becomes predictable after a few times.

"This enemy lives in a nest with many of its kind. When Samus approaches, they will start attacking, one after another."

A Flitt is a amoeba-like organism. They do not harm you but instead disappear from you, which makes it difficult to use them as obstacles.

"Samus will not receive any damage even if she touches them. Look closely for them, as they have a tendency to conceal themselves."
