Monster Rancher DS is the latest in the Monster Rancher series of monster-raising games. It is the second on the DS, but the first was not released in the US. It is known as Monster Farm DS 2: Yomigaeru! Master Breeder Densetsu in Japan. In it, you are given a ranch and tasked to raise a monster to be the best. There are many types of monsters to raise. Instead of using CDs like past games due to technical limitations, you can draw, write and speak into the microphone to generate monsters.
