Gameplay[edit]

The GamePad player, dressed as a Gold Ghost, must make all the ghost trackers faint, while the Wii Remote player(s), dressed as Luigi, Mario, Waluigi, and Wario, must use their flashlights to reduce the ghost's health to zero. If there are less than four ghost trackers, they will be assisted by CPU-controlled Monitas, who cannot be defeated by the ghost and can damage the ghost as a ghost tracker can. If there are only two trackers, they will have two lives each, where if there is only one tracker, they will have three lives. While the ghost is invisible most of the time, only becoming visible whenever they dash, charge their spell, or are caught in a flash of lightning, whenever the ghost closes in on a tracker, their Wii Remote will rumble more intensely the closer the ghost gets. If a tracker falls, the other trackers can shine their light on them to revive them.

Over time, the trackers' flashlights will slowly diminish, which they can restore by picking up batteries that spawn around the stage. A gold battery will also rarely spawn; this briefly gives the tracker that picks it up an upgraded flashlight that damages the ghost and revives fallen allies quicker.

The ghost is able to charge up a magic spell; when this spell is used, any trackers caught in the range will have their flashlights completely drained, and any Monitas hit with it will be briefly stunned.

Stages[edit]

One of five different arenas can be chosen to play in. Each is unlocked by completing a match on the previous stage.

Name Description
Main Floor "The layout of the first floor isn't too fancy, but the ghost can still sneak up behind you real quick-like! Look lively, youngsters!"
The Basement "I used to store my inventions on this floor, but then the ghosts started using it as their rumpus room. The layout is pretty disorganized, so watch out!"
Research Lab "This here laboratory is where I do my paranormal-research stuff! I reckon the ghosts will be able to fly right over the conveyor belts."
The Storage Room "Criminy! That suit of armor must be haunted, 'cause it rumbles when it sees people!"
Monita's Rooftop "I've been tinkering with some Monita prototypes in my spare time. When the Monitas' lamps change color, the ghost is nearby!"
