Is it possible to have a bot do this, or will we have to do this ourselves? It would involve downloading each picture and then re-uploading them all with the correct name and categories. Then we would have to go through and rename all of the images in the FF4 guide. So if there is any way to make this less tedious, that would be awesome. Otherwise I'll get started on it sometime in the near future.--DukeRuckley 11:51, 28 March 2007 (CDT)

: My bot's MIA at the moment, but assuming all the images to be renamed are in a single category (which, from memory, I think they are), it should be perfectly possible for a bot to do this. --DrBob (Talk) 12:07, 28 March 2007 (CDT)

Dark And Light

I was planning to do this using my bot once I'd finished writing the next version (lots of cool new features :-D ), but as you've done it it looks like I won't have to. :-P I'd leave the redirect pages, as they're too much work to get rid of, and aren't causing any harm. Once I've got the next version of my bot finished, I might make it look for pointless redirects and delete them. :-) --DrBob (Talk) 10:03, 25 July 2006 (CDT)

Ah, I didn't realize you were going to have a bot do it :). Guess I just saved you a little bit of trouble then. Oh well, didn't hurt me any to do it.--DukeRuckley 10:20, 25 July 2006 (CDT)

GFDL Articles Template

I've deleted all cases of it being included in an article. It's page is still linked by two StrategyWiki pages so I'm not sure what to do about deleting it. Chaote Imagicka

It doesn't matter. The links will now be red, and that's fine. I've deleted the template; thanks again for the time you've put into it. :-) --DrBob (Talk) 16:30, 28 August 2006 (CDT)

How to Merge histories

What are the steps needed to merge histories? -- Prod (Talk) 10:23, 21 October 2006 (CDT)

Explained on Wikipedia. :-) --DrBob (Talk) 10:35, 21 October 2006 (CDT)

Merging the "new new FFI book"

I've been looking over the FFI pages, and I don't really see a lot of things that need to be merged. Most of the entries either contain information already in the guide, or are too encyclopedic for our purposes (example). These entries would be better off at the Final Fantasy Wiki. The list of characters that can equip the stuff would be useful, and I intend to put such information in, however it would talk longer to pull the info from each page, figure out the corresponding item, reformat it, than it would to just get the information from the game disc. As such, it might be easiest for us if these types of pages were just deleted without merging. The Locations and Status Effects pages are great since those sections need to be added to Final Fantasy/Walkthrough. I'll go through them all this week when I have time and figure out which pages need to be added into the Final Fantasy strategy guide.

That said, for the information that is useful for our purposes of a strategy guide, is merging these something I can do by cutting and pasting, or something an admin needs to do? Koweja 16:27, 3 December 2006 (CST)

Renaming FF2 images

Is it possible to have a bot do this, or will we have to do this ourselves? It would involve downloading each picture and then re-uploading them all with the correct name and categories. Then we would have to go through and rename all of the images in the FF4 guide. So if there is any way to make this less tedious, that would be awesome. Otherwise I'll get started on it sometime in the near future.--DukeRuckley 11:51, 28 March 2007 (CDT)
