Enter Star 1. Collect and then proceed to feed 30 coins to the Hungry Luma on the first section. This sends Mario to a planet with multiple large hammers and some moving platforms. These large hammers will instantly crush Mario and cause him to lose a life, so they should be carefully avoided. Multiple blue switches can be found along the path to slow down time, helping to navigate through the small planet. While there are several 1-Ups along the way, they are in precarious locations that often will lead to Mario losing a life if not careful. It is advised to ignore these green 'shrooms and to focus on getting the Power Star at the end of the hammer-filled path. While possible to use a backflip and wall jump combination to skip the challenge entirely, it is extremely difficult to perform: Completing the stage as intended is best.
