Tank Battalion is a multi-directional shooter arcade game that was released by Namco in 1980. It didn't make a big splash in the arcades when it was released in 1980, since it was out-shone by Namco's other classic, Pac-Man. The game was ported to the MSX 8-bit computers under its original name. It was later ported to the Japanese Famicom (with a corresponding Vs. System game) and Game Boy, but for unknown reasons was retitled Battle City.
