Moves

Accelerate

To accelerate hold down A button. Holding down A button will also make you crouch. To accelerate (although not as fast) without crouching push forwards the left thumbstick.

Ollie (Jump)

To do an Ollie press A button. If you are holding down A button to accelerate then simply stop holding A button to do an Ollie, and then after the jump start holding A button again.

Grab

To grab you must firstly be in the air, then hold B button while holding down a direction on the directional pad. The longer you keep the grab the more points you get, but make sure you don't leave it too late.

Flip

To make a flip trick you must be in the air, then while in the air hold X button while holding down a direction on Neutral dpad. Each direction on Neutral dpad is a different trick.

Grab Tricks

50-50

Approach the rail then perform an ollie and just before you hit the rail click and hold the Y button button.

Nosegrind

Perform a 50-50 but at the same time as clicking Y button press and hold Up dpad.

5-0

Perform a 50-50 but at the same time as clicking Y button click Down dpad.

Boardslide/Lipside

Rotate the board perpendicular to the rail you want to grind then press and hold Y button.

Noseslide/Tailslide

Perform a 50-50 but as you press Y button press Left dpad or Right dpad on the directional pad.

Feeble/Smith

Perform a 50-50 but as you press Y button press BOTTOM LEFT or BOTTOM RIGHT on the directional pad.

Crooked/Overcrooked

Perform a 50-50 but as you press Y button press TOP LEFT or TOP RIGHT on the directional pad.

More Moves

Liptrick

To do a liptrick skate up a ramp and at the top of the ramp press and hold Y button. At the same time press a direction on the directional pad. Use Left lstick and Right lstick to keep your balance.

Manual

To do a manual, push the left thumbstick (or directional pad) up and then quickly down. Then use the left thumbstick (up and down) to keep your balance.

Revert

To revert when landing onto a ramp, pull the left or right trigger when you hit the ramp.

No Comply

To do a No Comply quickly tap UP on the directional pad just before performing an Ollie.

Boneless

To do a boneless tap the UP button twice quickly on the directional pad and then perform an Ollie. A boneless is basically a bigger Ollie.

Nollie

To do a Nollie perform an Ollie and then pull the right the Left Trigger.

Switch Stance

If you perform tricks in the switch stance you will get more points. The switch stance is the opposite of a skater's normal stance. To get into the switch stance pull the right trigger.

Fakie Ollie

TO do a Fakie Ollie, get into the switch stance position, then pull the left trigger to get into the Fake Ollie position then press (A).

Wallride

To do a wallride, approach the wall at a 45 degree angle and then Ollie into the wall holding (Y). Then press (A) to wallie. Make sure you don't press (Y) and then grind.

Wallplant

To wallplant, ollie into a wall and press (A) to push off the wall with your foot.

Wallpush

To wallpush skate or manual into a wall and hold the (Y) to push off the wall. Again, make sure you don't press (Y) and then grind accidentally.

Spine Transfer

A spine transfer is transferring over a spine (two quarterpipes placed back-to-back). To perform a spine transfer, as your going up the ramp hold the right rigger until you are on the other side.

Skitching

Skitching is getting pulled by a car or other vehicle. TO perform a sktich press UP on the directional pad when right behind a vehicle.

Flatland Tricks

Flatland tricks are performed from the manual. When performing a manual tap twice (B), (Y), (X) or any combination of these buttons (eg. (X) (Y)) Keep your balance like you would while performing a manual (pushing the left thumbstick up or down for control)

Double-Tap Flips and Grabs

Press a direction on the directional pad and double tap (B) or (X) twice to pull a better trick that the single tap trick.

Flips

While performing an air trick, hold the left trigger while pressing any direction on the directional pad (or tapping any direction on the left thumbstick).

Turn Around Quick

Tap the right button twice quickly to turn around 180 degrees quickly.

Acid/Bank Drops

While jumping over a quarterpipe or slanted ramp pull the right rigger to acid or bank drop.

Bailing

When you bail you cant control where your slater bails by using the directional pad. Press (Y) to bounce the skater off the ground. Press (A) to get on your board faster. Press the left and right trigger and then left and right button all at the same time to bail automatically. Once in a bail click (X) to get up straight away.

Natas Spin

Approach a pole or mailbox or other pole sticking out of ground and ollie and as you land on it press (Y). Use the left thumbstick (or directional pad) to keep your balance while spinning.

Grind/Lip/Stall/Natas Spin Branching

To change your trick in the middle of a trick tap twice on (B), (X) or (Y) or in any combination to change your trick.

Stall

To do a stall, pull the right trigger and press (Y) while pressing a direction on the directional pad.

Walking

To start walking instead of skating, press the left and right button both at the same time. Then use the left thumbstick to control which way you move.

Climbing/Hanging

Jump by pressing (A) near a wall or something else you can grab and press the right trigger to grab it. While hanging use LEFT and RIGHT on the directional pad to move. Press UP on the directional pad to climb onto the ledge you are hanging on.

Wallrun

To do a wallrun face the wall and press UP on the directional as you hit the rall after running at it and then press the right button.

Combos Basics

Go up a ramp and perform a grab trick. When you land press the right trigger and go into a manual (see manual, above.)
