Welcome to StrategyWiki!

Hello Fractal618! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or visit the IRC channel to chat, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! — Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:54, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

New guides

For games that don't have a guide yet, we have to create them. For this one I'll get it started, but in the future just go to the uncreated page and use the preload button above the edit box (Main game page) to start it off. We have a few of those for pages, like the table of contents and guide pages. I'll help more later. See Wurm Online. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 21:56, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

The captcha

Hi, I understand your frustration with the cats and dogs thing, but its compatibility with all browsers is beyond our control, and without it, we receive a tremendous amount of spam postings that we have to constantly track down and delete. I mean, that captcha alone literally cut our spam down by 99%. So we're taking the benefit of it over the known issues some users have with it. Stick with the site long enough, and you'll become a confirmed user, and the captchas will go away. That being said, please do not:

  • Fill a talk page with complaints about the captchas, those talk pages are there to discuss the games or for authors to collaborate on guides.
  • Put nothing on a page but a broken link, especially a broken YouTube link. We have a {{YouTube}} template that you can use if you really feel that including a video is helpful in your guide, but it should definitely be accompanied by written material, which a video can then lend supporting evidence of what you write about.

Also, don't forget about the preload buttons when you start a new page. Procyon 03:52, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Thank you! I will use the {{youtube}} format and include an explanation of why the video is there. :) Fractal618 (talk) 22:08, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
