While first person is not welcome on the site, second person is acceptable. It tends to read better for the average visitor. While changing "you" to "the player" is technically correct, some people misunderstand what is meant by that, and using "you" removes the confusion. No need to change anything, just a note for the future. While first person is not welcome on the site, second person is acceptable. It tends to read better for the average visitor.
