As mentioned on the main Walkthrough page, this game has five different endings. The one you will get after you have met up with Buddha at the end of the fifth stage will be determined by the amount of money you collected and the amount of enemies you killed during that stage. Buddha will decide whether Tarosuke goes up to the Heavens or descends into Hell after checking his performance and says he has to wait for a while before telling him.
"Your destination is....."[edit]
-
Hell (over 10100 in money collected, over 21 enemies killed).
-
Demon World (7100 to 10000 in money collected, 11 to 20 enemies killed).
-
Beast World (3000 to 7000 in money collected, 6 to 10 enemies killed).
-
Human World (100 to 3000 in money collected, 1 to 5 enemies killed).
-
Heaven (nothing in money collected, no enemies killed).
Famicom endings[edit]
In order to get the best ending, you must reach every opportunity to increase your PIOUS count, and never continue your game. To earn every amount of PIOUS, you must do the following:
- Pray to increase your spirit three times, in stages 2 through 4, to earn 3000 points each time for a total of 9000 points.
- Feed the Tennyo no Fun, or Angel Poo, to the Bamboo Princess in stage 2 for 5000 points.
- Save the turtle, which is required to complete stage 3, for 5000 points.
- Feed Gonta a Douchu Manju in the beginning of stage 2, and collect his remains when he dies. Then bring it to the monk behind the Demon of Wood in stage 4 for 1000 points.
