Controls

• : Use the control pad to direct your player to walk in the four cardinal directions. When a menu is displayed, use the control pad to cycle through your available options.
• : Press the A button to attack an enemy. When a menu is displayed, press the A button to select the currently chosen option.
• : Press the B button to open the command menu. Press the B button as well to close it without making a selection.
• : Press the Start button to begin a new game, or choose to continue from a previous game, on the main title screen.
• : Not used.

Commands

Command	Japanese	Description
Status	つよさ	Choose this command in order to see various statistics about your player. Refer to the Status section.
Equip	そうび	After obtaining a new piece of equipment, you need to choose this command in order to utilize it. Your player has a maximum weight of equipped items that increases as your level grows. If you attempt to equip an item that extends beyond the weight limit, you will be unable to wear it, and revert to using nothing.
Look	しらべる	Choose the look command in order to examine something in front of you a little more closely.
Open	あける	When you stand before a chest that you wish to obtain the contents of, use the Open command, but beware: some chests contain traps.
Magic	まほう	As you increase in level, you will learn a variety of spells, some of which help you while others hinder your enemy. All races learn the same spells, they simply learn them at different rates.
Read	よむ	Choose the read command to examine a scroll in your possession.
Drink	のむ	You may find various fountains while exploring dungeons or castles. Choose the drink command to take a sip from them and gain whatever benefit from them that you can.
Talk	はなす	While there aren't that many people in the world, those that you do encounter may have some choice words of wisdom for you to learn. Walk up to them and use the talk command to hear them.

Status

Command	Japanese	Description
Name	なまえ	The name of the player, entered by you at the beginning of the game.
Race	しゅぞく	The race of the player, chosen by you at the beginning of the game.
Level	レベル	Your player's current experience level.
EX	EX	The current amount of experience points that you have accumulated.
Str	たいりょく	Your player's current physical strength, which increases the amount of damage you can inflict upon enemies.
Dex	きようさ	Your player's current agility, which decreases the amount of damage your enemies can inflict upon you.
Cha	みりょく	Your player's current charisma, which may have an impact upon your success when gambling at shops.
Int	ちせい	Your player's current intelligence, which determines the effectiveness of the spells that you cast.
MaxHP	さいだいHP	Your player's current maximum amount of hit points.
MaxMP	さいだいMP	Your player's current maximum amount of magic points.
Attack	こうげきりょく	Your player's current level of offensive strength, which combines your physical strength with the power of your weapon. It determines how much damage you can inflict upon enemies,
Defense	しゅびりょく	Your player's current level of defensive strength, which combines your agility with the effectiveness of your armor and shield. It determines how much damage your enemies can inflict upon you.
Gold	ゴールド	The current amount of gold that you have in your possession.
