  • True Hero: 42,000
  • Minikit Figure: Jor-El's H'Raka

Walkthrough[edit]

You begin outside the House of El Citadel, attacked by several of Zod's forces. After taking them out, head to the pile of loose bricks and use them to build a control panel for the computer terminal. Use Kelex to operate the terminal, opening up a puzzle. Memorize the order of the puzzle pieces and select them in that order again to unlock the door into the citadel.

Head inside and move forward until you reach a small hall. Zod's forces will blow a hole in the wall and attack from outside. Defeat them all, then use Jor-El's laser rifle to clear the golden debris. Continue down the hallway until you reach a fountain, upon which more of Zod's warriors will drop down from above. Knock them all out quickly and switch to Kelex to make use of its super senses. It will detect a gold plate on the fountain, which you must melt away with Jor-El's rifle. Use the pieces from the destroyed fountain to build a water cannon which you can use to put out the flames. Destroy the remaining wreckage and run a bit further to enter the birthing chamber.

Lara Lor-Van is safe and sound, as is her baby Kal, but General Zod destroys the cradle that was going to be used to send Kal-El into space. After the cutscene ends, use Jor-El's laser rifle to destroy the golden structure, giving you pieces to partially rebuild the cradle. After doing so, Tor-An, one of Zod's elite soldiers bust in from the right. Take his soldiers out, then focus on Tor-An, who is pretty much a normal goon with more health than usual. Unfortunately, even though Lara is in your party, she is too preoccupied with Kal-El to fight, so you must still rely on the other two to fight. Next up is Faora, an agile warrior who can evade any close-range attack, so you must defeat her using rifle shots.

Once Faora is down, head to the right and use the debris from the break-in to repair the rest of the cradle. Switch to Lara and approach the cradle, then place baby Kal-El on the pedestal. Next, switch to Kelex and operate the computer terminal. This minigame is a repeat of the puzzle from outside, just tap the pieces in the order shown a moment before. Complete the minigame to select Kal-El's target destination: Earth. However, before Kal-El takes off, General Zod himself breaks in to fight! A brilliant strategist and fighter, Zod will keep his distance whenever you approach, then fire a lengthy volley of shots at you. Oddly, he will do a little dance after each set of shots, which is when he is vulnerable to attacks. Hit him 3 times to stall him long enough for the escape pod to launch!

Kal-El has been sent to Earth, with the Growth Codex stored within his DNA. Jor-El's selfless act has not only preserved the legacy of Kryptonians, but also help countless Earthlings in the future, for Kal-El will later grow up to be Clark Kent, using his powers gained from the yellow sun to become the Man of Steel: Superman.
