Luminous Arc (ルミナスアーク Ruminasu Āku?) is a turn-based strategy game from Marvelous Interactive for the Nintendo DS. Luminous Arc was released in Japan on February 8, 2007 and August 14, 2007 in North America by Atlus. The game was released in Europe on October 12, 2007 by Rising Star Games.

The game features voiced scenes, character designs by Kaito Shibano and music by Akari Kaida, Yasunori Mitsuda, and Mitsuda's studio, Procyon. Along with the main gameplay, there is an online multiplayer battle option.

The game has a sequel, Luminous Arc 2, that was released in 2008.

Story[edit | edit source]

4 adolescents, known as the Garden Children, are raised by the Luminous Church most of their lives to condemn the Witches, as the prophecy foretold that they would be brought back when God was ready to be reawoken. They search the world, attempting to secure all of the Lapistier and condemn all of the Witches to prevent them from attacking God and the citizens of the area.

As they track down the Witches, they are attacked by one and go with the others and uncover the truth of what happened in the Aldheld Disaster 1000 years ago.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Luminous Arc is a tactical role-playing game where you are in command of a party of up to 8 characters at a time on an isometric field. It has many attacking techniques, including melee, ranged, magics, skills, Flash Drives and Synergies, all of which shall be explained in the relevant sections.
