NASCAR Rumble is a racing game developed by Electronic Arts for the PlayStation. It is quite different from conventional stock car racing games in that it features wildly-designed tracks, Mario Kart-esque powerups and unlockable commercial vehicles. The game focuses more on arcade racing, having a standard race mode and a championship mode that involves competing in three tracks back-to-back, usually set in a certain location. The game also features a Cyber Team option to allow players to team up with a computer-controlled racer.

The game also has a moderate amount of customability, letting players set the amount of laps, power-up density and even their own opponents for a standard race. Each vehicle has three classes, Rookie, Pro and Elite, with the car's speed and performance improving for each class advancement. These classes and certain vehicles can be unlocked by winning in championships, but there are also more unique vehicles like the Golf Cart and the Chicken Truck that can only be unlocked by finding wrench icons hidden in one of the tracks. Finally, the game features a password system that can function as saves that can be inputted in different copies of the game or even cheat codes for players lazy to unlock content manually.

The game received a sequel for the PlayStation 2, titled Rumble Racing.
