This is a list of all rooms/buildings in the game and what you can find or do there.

Chiba City[edit]

Chatsubo[edit]

You start the game there. You must enter the PAX, read the bulletin, download money and pay Ratz with 64 in order to be able to leave the building, or else you pay a 500 fine. Ratz also tells you about getting your deck from Shin and a girl of Lony Zone. After that it is closed down and you can't visit it again.

While there you can manage your bank account and send a bulletin message to Armitage with your account number. He will send you some 10000 credits and asks you to meet him outside the Matrix Restaurant.

Body Parts[edit]

You can sell and buy your body parts there when you are desperate for credits. Each removal of your organs reduces your consitution.

Donut World[edit]

This shop is constantly occupied by O'Reilly, a SEA cop eating donuts. Nothing to do there if you don't have the CopTalk installed. With CopTalk 1.0 you can obtain the following information:

  • ABURRAKOI: Password for FUJI (encrypted UCHIKATSU)
  • KEISATSU: Link for the Tactical Police database
  • SMEEGLDIPO: Password for SEA (encrypted PERMAFROST)

When you get the version 2.0 you must visit him again. You will learn that

  • SNORSKEE: Password for the Tactical Police (encrypted SUPERTAC).
  • A hint that Shiva knows something about the Loser Database

Micro Softs[edit]

A software shop run by Larry Moe of Panther Moderns. You can buy a CopTalk 1.0 for 100. If you ask Larry about the Moderns he will ask 100 but still he won't tell you anything.

After you get rid of Larry, you can enter the Moderns headquarters and talk to their boss, Lupus Yonderboy. Lupus sells Evasion for 2000 credits. He also sells a security pass for Sense/Net for 4000 credits (in case you need the Dixie Flatline software).

As hinted by reading his posts in the Moderns database, you can ask him about "BANK". He will give you the account number 646328356481 from which you can steal money.

Massage Parlor[edit]

A woman named Akiko is there.

The only thing you can do there is buying information. Akiko takes credits from you and each time you visit her, she gives additional hints:

  1. The Panther Moderns database link (CHAOS) and password (MAINLINE) (20 credits)
  2. The Bank of Zurich Orbital link (BOZOBANK) (50 credits)
  3. A hint to not trust the Moderns (75 credits)
  4. A hint that you can avoid fees by opening multiple bank accounts (100 credits)
  5. The CyberEyes project by Maas Biolabs. With it you don't need a cyberdeck as it stores programs in your head (150 credits)

Whenever you visit this place you are arrested and fined 500 credits. You can't avoid this, but Akiko says you can visit her again. After being arrested many times you are killed and revived.

Because of the nature of the game, once you know the above information, you don't need to visit the Parlor at all, saving thus a lot of money

Shin's[edit]

You can visit Shin at the start of the game. You are supposed to give him the pawn ticket and receive your cyberdeck for 100 credits. However if you say that you don't have money, he will give it to you for free and throw you out.

With this option the cyberdeck presents some hardware faults, meaning that you must do multiple attempts before connecting to a database, until you buy a new one. Note: this may have been a coincidence.

Once you finish with this, you are free to discard the ticket as it won't be needed.

Cheap Hotel[edit]

You can't enter hear before you hack into their databse and "fix" your account. While doing that make sure you also order Caviar online. You will be given one as soon as you visit the hotel.

The Hotel will probably be the first place from which you will connect to Cyberspace.

Gentleman Loser[edit]

A woman named Shiva is sent from Anonymous Bosch and sits there. You can ask her for CHIP and she will give you Cryptology for deciphering coded passwords.

After that, you will get a message from Norton (in PX) that she has something else for you. Ask her about PASS and she will giv eyou a guest pass for Matrix Restaurant.

If you ask her abut GENTLEMAN LOSER she will tell you the link (LOSER) and password (WILSON) for their database.

Maas Biolabs[edit]

Julius Dean[edit]

If you ask Deane about CHIP he will sell you Philosophy and Phenomenology which are important for cyberspace battles.

He also can upgrade your Cryptology for 5000 if you have one from Shiva. You don't need this in later playthroughs if you already know all the passwords of the game.

Spaceport[edit]

You can buy a ticket to Freeside or Zion for 1000. You can fool the clerk with the CopTalk but it won't affect the price.

Metro Holografix[edit]

Finn sells some softwarez. If you ask him about CHIP he sells you some. ICE Breaking is important for battles in cyberspace and Debug for repairing damaged software after these battles.

You also can learn from somewhere that Finn possesses a joystick. Asking him for JOYSTICK he sells it to you for the small fee of 20 credits.

House of Pong[edit]

A strange sect worshipping the game Pong. When you talk to the monk don't select sarcastic replies. Tell him that 20 years is too long and he will send you for the quest for the Holy Joystick. You can buy one from Finn. If you offer it to the onk he will reward you with Zen and Sophistry chips.

Asano Computing[edit]

Asano is a big company selling hardware and cyberdecks. They have a feud against Crazy Edo. When you talk to Asano ask him about Edo, and if he asks if you are his friend, reply that he is a "gnat's eyeball". He will like you and offer his wares with some discount.

It is adviseable to buy Blue Light Special as a cheap and better alternative to your UXB, and buy a cyberspace deck when you can afford it. The best one is Cyberspace VII.

Crazy Edo's[edit]

Crazy Edo is a merchant who sells non-cyperspace decks and has a feud against Asano. Edo trades Comlink 2.0 for caviar you got from the Cheap Hotel.

Probably you won't need to buy anything from him, perhaps unless your deck breaks.
