Operation Wolf intro.png

After the game's opening cutscene, which sees Special Forces Operative Roy Adams parachuting down to the ground then shouting Operation initiated! from one of the OKI MSM-5205s with the caption "OPERATION INITIATED! RESCUE HOSTAGES!" at the bottom of the screen, the Operation Map will appear on the screen with the yellow arrow above this stage (the Communication Setup) flashing red, so you will have to squeeze the light gun's trigger in order to start it; once you have done so, the following text will appear with your score, ammunition, remaining enemies and Damage Meter to its right:

<< COMMUNICATION SETUP >>
CUT OFF THE ENEMIES'
COMMUNICATIONS AND KEEP
THEM FROM INCREASING.

The texts "BEGIN ROUND with", "X MAGAZINES" (X being either 4, 5, 6 or 7, depending on what the arcade operator has set the "Ammo Magazines at Start" dip switch to) and "5 GRENADES" shall then appear on the screen, with "Good Luck!" below them; Roy Adams shall now start walking to the left, and once you've fired a shot at the oil drum in the background to knock it over for 100 points, a gray-uniformed soldier shall come running into view from the left side of the screen. Once you have fired two shots at him to kill him (the first shall temporarily knock him down) before he fires a shot at you (both hits on him are worth 50 points, while his death is worth 500), four brown-uniformed soldiers will come running into view from the left side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them before they fire a shot at you (for 50 points apiece), another gray-uniformed soldier will come running into view from the screen's right side. Once you've fired two shots at him to kill him, a fifth brown-uniformed soldier (and a green-uniformed one) shall run into view from the screen's left side; once you have fired a shot at both of them to kill them (the green-uniformed one is worth 50 points) before the green-uniformed one throws a grenade at you (which you can block by shooting it for 300 points before it hits the bottom of the screen) a third gray-uniformed soldier will come running into view from the right side of the screen. Once you have fired two shots at him to kill him, a sixth brown-uniformed soldier shall pop up in the second window of the hut in the background - and once you have fired a shot at the window to shatter it and the soldier to kill him for 100 points, a pair of nurses carrying a stretcher (whom you will have to try not to hit) will come running into view from the left side of the screen.

Once these nurses have gone off the right side of the screen (if you accidentally fire on them, they will scream NO! from one of the OKI MSM-5205s), a seventh brown-uniformed soldier will pop up in the third window of the aforementioned hut in the background; once you have fired a shot at the window to shatter it and the soldier to kill him an eighth brown-uniformed soldier will pop up in the hut's now-shattered third window. Once you've fired a shot at him to kill him, four more brown-uniformed soldiers and another green-uniformed one shall come running into view from the left side of the screen - and once you've fired a shot at each of these to kill them, four more brown-uniformed soldiers and a third green-uniformed one shall come running into view from both sides of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, a truck (the remaining number of which is not shown on the right side of the screen) will come rolling into view from the right side of the screen, as a seventeenth brown-uniformed soldier comes running into view from its left side; once you've fired five shots at the truck to make it explode (each hit on it is worth 50 points apiece, while its destruction is worth 300) and a single one at the soldier to kill him a fourth gray-uniformed soldier and two more brown-uniformed ones will come running into view from the left side of the screen. Once you have fired two shots at the gray-uniformed soldier, along with a single shot at both of the brown-uniformed ones, to kill them, you will come to a flashing magazine on the ground - and once you've fired a shot at this magazine to collect it for 100 points, you will gain 30 extra bullets.

Two more brown-uniformed soldiers will now come parachuting down into view from the top of the screen; after you have fired a shot at both of them to kill them for 200 points apiece, a fourth green-uniformed soldier will come running into view from the left side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at him to kill him, a helicopter shall come flying into view from the left side of the screen as four more brown-uniformed soldiers come running into view from its right side - and once you fire ten shots at the helicopter to make it explode before it fires a shot at you (each hit on it is worth 50 points apiece, while its destruction is worth 2000), along with a single shot at all of the soldiers to kill them, a twenty-sixth brown-uniformed soldier shall run into view from the left side of the screen. Once you've fired a shot at him to kill him, another truck will come rolling into view from the right side of the screen, as three more brown-uniformed soldiers come running into view from both sides of it; once you have fired five shots at the truck to make it explode along with a single shot at each of the soldiers to kill them, you will come to another flashing magazine on the ground (which is worth 30 more extra bullets).

Two more brown-uniformed soldiers will now come parachuting down into view from the top of the screen as a fifth green-uniformed one comes running into view from its left side; once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, another helicopter will come flying down into view from the top of the screen as a third truck comes rolling into view from its right side. Once you fire off ten shots at the helicopter, along with five shots at the truck, to make them explode, a thirty-second brown-uniformed soldier shall come running into view from the left side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at him to kill him, you'll come to a third flashing magazine on the ground, and once you've fired a shot at it to collect it, you will gain 30 more extra bullets.

A thirty-third brown-uniformed soldier and a fifth gray-uniformed one will now come running into view from the left side of the screen; once you've fired a single shot at the brown-uniformed one, along with two shots at the gray-uniformed one, to kill them, three more brown-uniformed soldiers shall run into view from the left side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them a sixth gray-uniformed soldier shall come running into view from the screen's right side - and after you fire two shots at him to kill him, an armoured car will come rolling into view from the left side of the screen as a sixth green-uniformed soldier comes running into view from its right side. Once you've fired five shots at the armoured car to make it explode before it fires a shot at you (every hit on it is worth 50 points apiece, while its destruction is worth 1000), along with a single shot at the soldier to kill him, a thirty-seventh brown-uniformed soldier will come parachuting down into view from the top of the screen as another armoured car comes rolling into view from its right side; once you've fired off five shots at the armoured car to make it explode, along with a single shot at the soldier to kill him, two further brown-uniformed soldiers will pop up in both first-floor windows of the building in the background. Once you have fired a shot at both of the windows to shatter them (and both of the soldiers to kill them) a third armoured car will come rolling into view from the left side of the screen - and once you have fired five shots at it to make it explode, three more green-uniformed soldiers and a fortieth brown-uniformed one shall run into view from both sides of the screen (however, these soldiers shall only appear in the event of you not managing to kill at least four of the previous ones before they scrolled off the screen).

After firing a shot at all these soldiers to kill them (if they appeared) you'll come to a fourth flashing magazine on the ground; after shooting it to collect it for 30 more extra bullets, a fourth truck and a fourth armoured car shall roll into view from the screen's right side as a third helicopter comes flying down into view from the top of it. Once you have fired five shots at both ground vehicles to make them explode, along with ten shots at the helicopter to make it explode, a fifth armoured car shall come rolling into view from the left side of the screen - and once you've fired five shots at it to make it explode, you shall come to a fifth flashing magazine on the ground. Once you've fired a shot at this magazine to collect it, you will gain 30 more extra bullets; you will then have to shoot a second oil drum in the background to knock it over (because like the first one at the start of this stage, it is worth 100 extra points).

A fourth helicopter shall now come flying into view from the right side of the screen; once you've fired ten shots at this helicopter to make it explode, the texts "OK cleared this scene!" and "Clearance Bonus $10000" shall appear on the screen as the background fades out and you receive a 10000-point bonus in 1000-point increments (three points shall also be removed from the Damage Meter). A picture of Adams activating a remote detonator to blow up a satellite dish will now appear on the screen with the following text below it (a male voice will also speak the text from one of the OKI MSM-5205s):

Operation Wolf Stage 1 clear picture.png
YOU SUCCEEDED IN DEMOLISHING
THE COMMUNICATION SETUP AND CUT-
TING OFF THE ENEMY FROM RESCUE.

After the picture has faded out, the Operation Map shall reappear on the screen with the yellow arrow above the second stage (the Jungle) flashing red so you will again have to squeeze the light gun's trigger in order to start it; this stage contains sixty soldiers, eight armoured cars and eight patrol boats, and it is also the first one that features chickens and pigs who will occasionally leave a randomly-generated flashing item behind when you shoot them.
