Depending on the choices you make throughout the game, Vyse's Swashbucker Rating, basically his reputation, will rise or fall. The biggest impact will come from dialogue choices; saying something heroic or inspiring will increase your rating, but acting unsure will lower it. Running from a lot of fights will also negatively impact your reputation.

Skies of Arcadia Legends[edit]
At one point during the GameCube version of Skies of Arcadia, your Swashbuckler Rating will change to "Vyse The Fallen Pirate" - you'll have to complete the Fallen Pirate subquest to restore your rating.
