These light cruisers are pretty good for a light cruiser and sports more weapons than the Atlanta class. The bad news is that it's still only a light cruiser, and sending it up against bigger guys is just asking for it to be smacked around. Japanese cruisers in particular carry 8" guns. When compared to the 6" guns of the Cleveland, the Cleveland is clearly at a disadvantage. However, for a cruiser, it can put up a lot of antiaircraft firepower, moreso than the Japanese Kuma class.
Arguably one of the best light cruisers in the game, this ship far surpasses the Kuma and the Atlanta in terms of raw firepower. While it lacks the Atlanta's number of flak cannons, the Cleveland has 6" guns, which cause considerably more damage, but the same reload as a destroyer's guns. This makes the Cleveland operate more like a heavy cruiser. It appears on only a few maps, but on the maps it does appear on, the Cleveland is more than capable of handling anything.

Cleveland's weapons fire so quickly, many players remark half-jokingly that it has no reload time whatsoever.

Interestingly, this is the only ship in the game that visually has depth charges, but it cannot use them.
