First released in Japan on September 22, 1999, the PlayStation version is the first and earliest build of the game. It features the worst graphics out of all the versions, with no anti-aliasing applied to three-dimensional models; this version features two difficulty modes: Easy, where the player starts with an extreme advantage over enemies, and hard, where the player has no advantage. It also does not let the player select their outfit or play the "Operation: Mad Jackal" mini-game from the start unlike the [[Windows 9x]] and [[Dreamcast]] versions, and is also missing two alternative outfits. This version also does not allow you to post your "Operation: Mad Jackal" scores online on Capcom's website (now a defunct feature), which the Windows 9x and Dreamcast versions allow you to do.
