These are the default controls, and except where otherwise indicated are for both the original EXE and for source ports such as ZDoom. Source ports usually allow keys to be remapped.
Movement and firing[edit]
- / : Move forwards/backwards
- / : turn left/right
- + / : run
- + / : strafe (move sideways)
- / Strafe left/right (ZDoom)
- : Fire, hold Control down to repeat fire
- : Jump
- : Activate Switches, Open Doors etc...
- (original), (ZDoom) : Look up
- (original), (ZDoom) : Look down
- (original), (ZDoom) : Center view
