Seven years later, a teenage Asbel is thrust into battle with a Wolf. It is at this point that you're introduced to B-Artes; press 
to have Asbel unsheathe his sword (which itself is an attack), then again to perform a B-Arte. As you unlock more B-Artes through titles, you will be able to set different Artes to different directions, unlike the unchangeable A-Artes, but for now, use Asbel's only B-Arte (Demon Fang) to gain an advantage over the Wolf by attacking it from a distance. After the scene, speak to Malik to gain access to the Eleth Mixer. Start using it now to get a head start on increasing its capacity for a trophy. Malik will then join the party. Approach the save point for Skit #032Walking the Point before moving forward.
At the first fork, head left up the path to find a chest containing 800 Gald. Return to the fork and head right to come across another fork; to the right, along the fallen tree, is a chest containing Life Bottle x2. Continue forward past the bend and open the chest along the path for a Wood Chunk. Further down the path is another fork; head left first for an Iron Tunic. Equip it if you wish, then examine the flowers directly to the right of the Turtlez for the Morino Flowers Discovery and Skit #033Flower Power.
Across the bridge will be three paths; head right first for a chest containing Apple Gel x3. You can also knock a boulder across the water here to form a shortcut, which will come in handy when you're ready to leave the woods. Down the center path is a Chipped Claw and up the leftmost path for a scene. You can speak to Malik for Apple Gel x3 before proceeding to the left of the demolished town. After the short scene, head right, then left again to find the Nova Wolf.
You can attempt to fight it, but you won't do any damage until triggering a scene. This scene unlocks a new B-Arte, Lightning Strike. Follow the quick tutorial to set Lightning Strike to a direction, then use it to negate the Nova effect of the wolf. Dodge regularly and utilize your B-Artes in order to come out on top and obtain a new title, Wielder of Light. After the scene, Malik rejoins the party. Approach the nearby save point for Skit #034Hidden Talents, then exit the woods via the boulder you knocked over previously.
Barona[edit]
You should now find yourself on the familiar North Barona Road. Malik will give you a World Map before you continue on your way. A chest along the path contains Pork x2. Across from this is a sign by some barrels. Examine this area for the Tea Fields Discovery and Skit #035That Certain Something. Head down an off-road path at a fork for Pasta x2, then continue down the road for a scene. Immediately afterward, view Skit #036Out of the Clouds. Inside the cottage is Pie Sheet x3 and off by a tree to the right of the road is Apple Gel x2. Further down the road is a path off to the left where 360 Gald can be found. Continue into town.
Off to the right of the square is a stand which you can approach for the Ice Pops Discovery and Skit #038The Win Stick. To the right is a cat which you can feed some fish (feed all cats you come across for a special surprise) and to the left is the Valkines Cryas, where you can find a chest containing Magic Carta No. 30. Continue down into the lower part of the city and buy something from a shop (it doesn't matter what) to trigger a skit later. To the left of the square, examine a sparkle by an old man on a bench for Night Lily Seeds. Enter the inn to the right to find Dried Seaweed x3 and Best Princess Stories in the closets of the rooms upstairs and approach the save point for Skit #037Final Exam and Skit #371Stamp Collectors.
You can now head up the stairs to the left of the square, leading up a path that winds to the right above the square, towards Bar Tactics, but don't enter just yet. Around the right of the bar is a hidden chest containing a Moji-kun Plushie. Enter for a scene. Before exiting the bar, head right to find Royal Knights' Documents, which you can turn into the Barona Inn to fill a request. Return to the Knight Academy for a scene. After the scene, open the chest in the room by entering a password ("treasure") for an Elixir. There's also an Ice Pop to the right of this, in the corner of the room. Exit the Knight Academy and approach the statue right by its entrance for the Headmaster's Bust Discovery and Skit #039Time Out of Mind.
Head down the stairs to the left toward the port, but you can veer off to the right at the bottom of the second set of stairs before continuing to the port to push around some boxes and gain access to an Hourglass. At the port, speak to the Ship Captain to board a ship to Lhant.
Lhant[edit]
Exit the port and walk down East Lhant Highroad until you come across a scene. After the following battle, approach the cottage to find a chest containing a Decaying Fang and Skit #040An Unseasonable Chill by the save point. Inside the cottage you can find Bread x3. Continue along the path, opening some chests for 540 Gald and an Iron Scabbard in the meantime, and enter Lhant for a scene. In Aston's study, you can find Best Princess Stories in the center bookcase by his desk and a chest that can be opened with the password "Aston" for an All-Divide. By the windmill, open a chest for a Noko Plushie and climb it for Magic Carta No. 29. Continue to North Lhant Road.
Open the chest along the path for a Pretty Ribbon, and approach Lhant Hill for Skit #041Frozen in Time. Continue along the path to the Border Fortress to trigger a scene and a battle. It shouldn't be too difficult, especially having two members in your party to keep both soldiers busy, but what follows is a different story. Head for Lhant Hill as fast as you can for a break from the chase, as well as some chests containing 180 units of eleth, a Nameless Seed, Life Bottle x2, and a Poison Needle. As a precaution, save before heading to the top of the hill.
A scene follows during which your party grows in strength, which should be helpful in the coming battle against the Helmcrusher. Let Cheria stay back and heal if needed while the rest of the party maintains an aggressive offensive to defeat it relatively quickly. After another scene, you can collect some items on the Lhant Hill Cliffs if you wish (a Poison Charm, Panacea Bottle x2, a Pretty Anklet, and Eleth Bottle C) before heading back down the hill. Approach the save by the entrance to the hilltop along the way for Skit #042Sophie's Sacrifice. Return to Lhant for another scene, and approach the manor for another. Pick up the Assorted Flowers from a sparkle in the flowerbed before heading inside to Asbel's room for a nap, then head to the study. You can now return to North Lhant Road.
On the way, you can approach the entrance to Lhant Hill once again for Skit #043Holding the Line before continuing forward toward the Border Fortress. Reach a fork in the road for a scene, then head right toward the beach. Open the chest for Life Bottle x2 before entering the cave.
Seaside Cavern[edit]
Upon entering, open a chest to the right for 1500 Gald. Be aware that the Green Slimes are capable of inflicting Poison on the party if they manage to make contact, so it doesn't hurt to have some Poison Charms equipped. Otherwise, just avoid getting hit and have Cheria heal regularly (Sophie can heal as well if needed). Further down, open a chest behind a rock for Apple Gel x3, and past that view Skit #044Everything is Intact before jumping into the water. After the scene, view Skit #372Diving In, then head left for Eleth Bottle C and Syrup Bottle x2. Jump into the water to the right for a Steel Scabbard before continuing forward, down the center path. You'll get some sunlight and a chest containing Life Bottle x3 hidden behind a pillar off to the right. At the end of the path, dive back into the water.
Open a chest for 1125 Gald, then hop into some more water. This will take you to a fork. Hop into the water to the left to find some chests containing Dark Bottle x2 and 210 units of eleth as well as the Glintsoul Colony Discovery and Skit #045Remembering the Past. Return to the fork and head right this time. Open a chest to the left for Holy Bottle x2 before jumping into the water here. Once you reach the new area, jump back into the water you just came from, and keep hopping into the water between these two areas until you trigger the skit Skit #324Enough With the Water before finally continuing forward.
The narrow path should lead into an open area. Head left for Mastery Tonic C, the Deathglow Algae Discovery, and Skit #046Just a Bite. Save as a precaution before jumping into the water and facing the boss. This boss can get pretty tough if you don't dodge often, but fortunately, poison wears off after a while, so as long as someone can heal, everyone should be able to stay alive. Have someone keep the Queen Slime distracted while the others take out the smaller Green Slimes, this way everyone can focus their offense on the Queen Slime without getting hit with poison by the smaller slimes.
After the battle and the scene, approach the exit to the cavern at last for Skit #047The Only One, then exit.
Return to Lhant[edit]
On the beach, open a chest for 720 Gald before continuing up the path. After the scene, you should find yourself at the enemy encampment. Before returning to Lhant, approach the encampment for Fur, the Vestiges of War Discovery, and Skit #048A Hopeless Cause. On the way back to Lhant, open the chest for a Decaying Fang and Skit #049All That Remains by the entrance to Lhant Hill. Upon entering Lhant, you'll get a scene and a battle with a new, powerful party member.
Enter the manor and head to the study after the scenes. After another scene, Asbel is thrust into a battle that he can't win. You can try to fight, but don't bother wasting any healing items, as the outcome is the same either way. Head to the port to catch a ship to Barona.
Back to Barona[edit]
Head to the Royal Sanctuary and through there, the Barona Catacombs. As soon as you enter, you can view Skit #050Where All Was Lost. Continue down the path for a scene and a battle, after which you obtain a new party member. By the door that Asbel couldn't open in childhood, view Skit #373Sweet Revenge. Make sure to view this before pushing it with 
. Now take this new path to a Massive Skeleton Discovery and Skit #051Time and Tide, the final discovery and skit of the chapter. Take the exit at the end of the path to South Barona Highroad to move onto the next chapter.
