Mime as "secret job"?[edit]
I've played through all the different iterations, and it never once occurred to me that the Mime was a "secret job". In the storyline, it's a fragment of Water Crystal 1 that the party can't reach, but its contents aren't even hinted at. Unfortunately, Walse Tower gets pulled down before it can ever be retrieved; it's stuck behind a pillar you can't get around.
At the very least, it's an optional job and part of a sidequest. In the original game, it's needed to master the Bare/Freelancer class.
What say you?
- The game gives you a few clues that it exists, and it's not the kind of thing you'd fail to notice if take time to explore everything. So 'optional' is probably a better word. When I played through the game I got the job but never used it, so it's optional in that sense as well, unlike some of the 'optional' espers you'd be hard put to beat X-Death without. --Zuke (talk) 13:11, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
We need your help to complete the Jobs guide![edit]
This topic is mainly for those who stumble onto this wiki, as I did not so long ago.
I have to admit, I've been writing like a madman these past couple weeks. There are clearly some huge gaps to be filled throughout the guide, with the largest existing here in the Jobs section.
Four guys writing a project this big can't possibly cover it all, so here's a list of things that I see as potential opportunities for this page:
- Write summaries for each Job: Give the strengths and weaknesses, as well as how they're best played in the party of four. I've started this effort in earnest, but would prefer not to be the only writer of such prose. Staying unbiased is a bit of a challenge here.
- What can you classify as key points for each Job?: Think about what a reader would want to "take with him" while using these Jobs
- ABP counts per level
- Full equippables lists
- Consider using tables: Just because lists only go so far...
