PIEUVRE
The director of the orphanage where Miette lives. She is actually not a single character, but two conjoined twins united since her birth. She hates children and forces them to steal for her.

PELADE
This grumpy old man is Pieuvre's henchman, even though he hates her. If the children disobey her, or make him angry, he locks them up in the cellar.

THE WATCHMAN
A watchman in charge of guarding the lighthouse area. He doesn't like children and if he suspects they're up to something shady, he locks them up in his warehouse.

THE DRUNK
A poor hungry drunk who spends his time complaining and muttering nonsense. His only interest is wine.

ONE
One works in the circus in the number of the strongman, who breaks chains. He is very kind and sensitive, even if naive. He has a little brother named Denree who he is very close to.

BOULE
One of the few children in the orphanage who has not yet been kidnapped. He never does anything without getting something in return.

THE WORKER
He is a very busy and frustrated guy. He has no time for small talk.

CYCLOPES
They are big, strong and dangerous men with a mechanical eye, and are responsible for the disappearance of the children. They can't stand loud noises.

THE DIVER

LUNE
Lune works at the harbor bar and is responsible for entertaining customers. For some reason, she hates Miette.

THE SAILOR
Another very busy guy, but a little kinder and more willing to help Miette.

THE TATTOOER
A chinese tattoo artist who gives tattoos to sailors. Some of his drawings are very strange and may represent something other than what they seem.

THE FISHERMAN
A quiet individual, who spends his time fishing. He is among the people most willing to help Miette.

MARCELLO
Marcello works at the circus and has trained a large number of fleas, with which he performs.

KRANK
The main antagonist of the story, an evil and mysterious man who ages prematurely because he is unable to dream (he never appears in the game).

IRVIN
A brain in a vat able to talk, the result of a bizarre experiment by Krank.
