There are multiple Tears of the Kingdom abilities. The four main abilities are found in the starting area shrines. A fifth ability is found later.

Ultrahand[edit]

Ultrahand is usually the first of the four abilities and allows you to move, rotate, or glue objects. It is a primary ability in completing most shrines, towers and even main questlines. It also can be used to glue zonai devices together to make vehicles.

Fuse[edit]

Fuse is usually number two out of four and allows you to attach objects to your weapons, shields and arrows. Multiple applications include fusing a boulder to a stick to make a miniature hammer or a horn to a stick or any other nonfused weapon to make a sword. Another way you could use Fuse is fuse a zonai device to a weapon to add special properties. There are almost endless combinations so lets head for the next ability.

Ascend[edit]

Ascend is the third ability and allows you to travel through a surface above you. There are limits though. For example you cannot travel up into too high ceilings. This could be a good escape route from caves so if your ever stuck, see if you can Ascend.

Recall[edit]

The final ability on the Great Sky Island is Recall. This can be used to send things back in time. For example if an octorok shoots a rock at Link, Link could Recall it to damage the octorok.

Autobuild[edit]

This ability is not required and can be found under the Great Plateau in the Depths. The player will have to do a short boss fight to obtain it but once acquired it can be quite useful. It gives you the ability to replicate anything you have already built with Ultrahand. There are also schematics that Link can replicate. Note that you don't have to have the materials, if you don't it will cost Zonaite.
