- Story Mode: The main mode, earn money and build up a reputation in the skating world. Making friends is crucial in saving American Sk8land.
- Classic Mode: Just like the classic Tony Hawks games, you have 2 minutes on the clock to complete ten goals, including collecting that hard to reach Secret Tape. Each area gives you different challenges.
- Free Skate: Work on your skating skills, navigate your way round the areas and practice playing as different skaters. Unlock areas by playing through the other modes.
- Wireless: Play against your friends either in local multiplayer which supports 2 players. Or play online multiplayer and challenge someone to a game from the other side of the world.
