Pokemon[edit]

The gba game graphics were greatly enhanced compared to the gb game graphics, and R/S did come after Crystal. -- Prod (Talk) 19:21, 8 June 2008 (CDT)

R/S might have came after Crystal..but it's still an opinion that R/S is a better game than crystal..In fact..Most pokemon fans believe that g/s/c were the best pokemon games around...and Crystal had a much longer storyline than R/S. Also..i don't find the GBA games graphics much different from the GB games.

We try to avoid anything discussing which game was "better" since that's POV and more for a reviews site. To me, succeeded and followed by are synonyms, and don't mean one was better than the other. Comparing File:Pokemon RBY Viridian City.png to File:PRS&E BattleDome.png is a major improvement in graphics quality. -- Prod (Talk) 19:31, 8 June 2008 (CDT)

I see your point...but you know that the GBA pic you showed to me is Emerald...right? And...I have all of the pokemon games that involves trainers...I find GB graphics perfectly acceptible, but if you think that GBA's graphics are improved...i guess i have nothing against that. But in my eyes...I believed that when a game is succeeded by another one...it means the other one was enhanced over the previous one in a number of ways. And i thought when a game was followed by another game...it was just made after the previous one.

Prod is absolutely right, and your edits to the front-pages of the Pokémon games are not welcome. If you wish to continue contributing to StrategyWiki, your edits must remain free of personal bias. One of the definitions of the verb "to succeed" is "to come next after in an order or series, or in the course of events; follow." Its use in this case does not imply any preference. Undoing a revision made to one of your edits by a site sysop is the quickest way to get banned from the site. Please take this into consideration from now on. Thank you. Procyon (Talk) 20:02, 8 June 2008 (CDT)

K...I'll make sure to take that into consideration...I've always believed that a game succeeding another game means that it is "better" than the previous one...I'm sorry if i caused any problems for you guys. I'll make sure to keep my edits free of personal bias.

I don't take myself that seriously, but the best way to proceed is to discuss first. We follow wikipedia's 3RR after which it's considered an edit war. If you are not satisfied with the current outcome, please feel free to voice your opinion here :). -- Prod (Talk) 20:28, 8 June 2008 (CDT)

I'm fine now, but I'll make sure to voice my opinion here if I'm not satisfied with the edits. I've added somethings i've found when i was playing my Emerald and Firered version that wasn't in R/S and Red and Blue versions. I'll try to get most of them for Emerald. I don't know about Firered and Leafgreen.

Any help you can provide is much appreciated :). As a minor note, please sign your posts using ~~~~ whenever leaving messages. It helps keep track of who said what. -- Prod (Talk) 20:50, 8 June 2008 (CDT)

I got a few things covered for Pokemon Emerald and fr/lg..I'll try to get the rest of the route guides and city guides for Emerald done. -- dandangp (Talk) 21:56, 8 June 2008 (CDT)

It's not necessary to update us on your progress, we watch every change that takes place through the "Recent changes" link on the left side of the page. Thank you for your contributions. Alternatively, if you are unhappy with a particular edit, it might be better to voice your concern on that specific game's talk page, such as the Pokémon Crystal talk page, so that concerned parties can see a history of related discussions. Show Preview[edit]

Hello Dandangp! Thanks for contributing to StrategyWiki! I'd like to point you to the "Show preview" button at the bottom of the edit page. When making an edit to a page, it is best to "Show preview" first. This way if there is something you want to change, you can fix it before saving the page. This in turn prevents clutter in the Recent Changes and helps sysops easily patrol edits. If you have any questions please feel free to ask at the Staff Lounge. Happy editing! --Procyon (Talk) 22:53, 8 June 2008 (CDT)

Also, note that Pokémon Red and Blue is considered a featured guide. It was constructed to serve as a guide as to how other Pokémon guides should be modeled. If you get a chance, please have a look at it to get some ideas on how to compose walkthroughs for other Pokémon guides. Thanks Procyon (Talk) 22:53, 8 June 2008 (CDT)

I'll make sure to check that guide and...k I'll make sure to use the show preview button before i save the page. Thanks for pointing that out! --dandangp (Talk) 23:01, 8 June 2008 (CDT)
