Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello MostWanted! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or visit the IRC channel to chat, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! — Procyon 04:43, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Copyright concerns[edit]

Hi MW. You're perfectly fine with the contributions you've been making. Factual information like the kind you added earlier cannot truly be copyrighted; a fact is a fact, it's in the public domain. If you were to wholesale copy someone's opinion-filled guide or walkthrough, that would be plagerism, and is obviously frowned upon unless you have the original author's permission. But if the information is simply "matter of fact," you are well within your rights to use it. In fact, information can be copy and pasted directly from Wikipedia to StrategyWiki (and vice versa) because the licenses governing information on both sites are the same. Thanks. Why so many revisions?[edit]

Hi MW. I notice that you seem to edit and redit the same pages a lot. I'm just curious why you are continuously rewriting some of the pages? There's nothing wrong with it, I'm just trying to understand why you keep feeling the need to change the content. Thanks. Procyon 20:20, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

I am making so many revisions because I am trying to make the pages more comprehensive with how the information is presented and I am adding information to the pages as well.--MostWanted 20:29, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

Mobile[edit]

Our definition of Mobile may be different from other sites (like the official NFS website). We consider mobile to be any "dumb phone". The newer tablets and smartphones generally have very specific OS requirements, so we classify them separately. I doubt any of those NFS games would run on anything less than a smart phone. -- Prod (Talk) 23:37, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Accurate information[edit]

I noticed your comment about the quality of the source of the information. Our primary purpose is to help people beat the games, so anything we have on the site should match what's in the game as closely as possible. -- Prod (Talk) 02:30, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
