The Show preview button (right next to the Save page button) lets you see how your changes will look before saving the page. You can use Show preview as many times as you like until you get the page how you want it. You can also edit the whole page at one time, as opposed to by section, by clicking the Edit tab at the top of the page. It's fine to stub in lists if you don't have time to fill in the descriptions, that's absolutely no problem. It's not the number of edits to a page over its lifetime that matters, it's the very quick edits over a short period of time when you could just use Show Preview to test small changes out before saving them that make more work for admins.
