Stage walkthrough

Heart

Jump up there

This item can only be accessed in Easy & Extreme Modes. After the area with the yellow alarm lights, charge the Speed Burner and dash-jump from a step before the save point to the security system on the left. Climb the wall to get to a hidden room with the Heart.

Sub-Tank

Jump up there

This item too can only be accessed in Easy & Extreme Modes. And it is located in a room above the ceiling, just before the next save point. Once again, charge up the Speed Burner to get to the ledge, then climb up to the Sub-Tank.

Mini-boss

The mini-boss can be defeated with eleven hits from the Rolling Shield, but he's immune to the Silk Shot.

In Easy & Extreme Modes, it can be dispatched with just six Hadou-ken.

Leg Upgrade / Zero Final

You'll get to a room where blocks fall from the ceiling. Climb to the top of a pillar in the middle of the room. Up there, you can use the Head Upgrade to crush some blocks and access to Dr. Light's capsule. He'll give you the Leg Upgrade. In Easy & Extreme Modes, you'll get the Zero Scramble: Final, instead.

  • "Install the program Zero Scramble Final! This will allow you to call a Special A level Hunter, Zero... This is the most powerful weapon and will destroy almost any enemy. Keep in mind that this requires a huge amount of energy... Use this on strong enemies that may seem impossible to defeat!"

After the room, there is a rematch with the mini-boss. Be careful: its attacks are stronger now, although its defense is the same.

Maverick: Magna Centipede

Magna Centipede is weak against the Silk Shot. Although the stage difficulty changes a lot between the different Modes, the boss difficulty is identical. Anyway, in Easy & Extreme Modes, you can also use the Zero Scramble Final.

Magna Centipede attacks:

  • Homing shurikens
  • Magnet Mine
  • Magnetic tail

Upon the enemy's defeat, you get the Magnet Mine. Its shots are remotely controlled: press up or down to change their direction.
