In the year 200X, the robot Rock, a project by Dr. Thomas Light was created. Rock, along with his sister robot, Roll, lived in peace with six other robots created by Dr. Light and his assistant, Dr. Wily. It was an age where humans lived by robots side-by-side. However, Dr. Wily revolted and stole Dr. Light's six creations, leaving Rock and Roll behind. Wily reprogrammed the robots and was bent on taking over the world with them. Dr. Light had to stop this, and luckily, Rock volunteered to become a fighting robot. Dr. Light transformed Rock into Mega Man, a super fighting robot. Mega Man defeated Dr. Light's six other creations and eventually confronted Dr. Wily. Wily begged for mercy and Mega Man spared his life. When everyone thought peace was finally restored, Wily has come back and has made eight creations of his own. Now Mega Man must stop him before it is too late.
