Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a video game for the Nintendo GameCube and the true sequel to Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64. The game uses the same battle engine as its predecessor, but it also has a few changes. These range from Partner Hit Points to the Audience system.

Table of Contents
The game takes place in a different land, the central hub of which being Rogueport. During a stop while traveling, Princess Peach finds a magical map and sends it to Mario, telling him to meet her at Rogueport. Upon his arrival, Mario meets a gang known as the X-Nauts that are attacking a Goomba girl named Goombella. He learns the X-Nauts are searching for relics known as the Crystal Stars, and the map Mario holds apparently leads to them. After taking the map down to the ruins of the old Rogueport and finding the Thousand-Year-Door, Mario is led on a new journey to find the Crystal Stars and to find out what happened to Princess Peach.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a video game for the Nintendo GameCube and the true sequel to Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64. The game uses the same battle engine as its predecessor, but it also has a few changes. These range from Partner Hit Points to the Audience system.
