Wesker[edit]

Wesker is about to get on the bomber, but devotes some more time to trying to kill you. When the fight begins, Chris and Sheva will be facing Wesker and he will already have is gun out. Immediately prepare to press X button to dodge the attack.

The rocket launcher and additional ammo

When you're relatively safe, run off to acquire the R-?? rocket launcher from the glass case to the east.

[1]

You can find additional rockets around the stage. Boxes will randomly drop it, but there are 5 that are always found. There are two boxes on the top balcony (third "floor") in the corner. One box contains a rocket, the other has a proximity bomb. You can grab the rocket and jump drown from here. Four other rockets are found in a glass case in the middle of the south, top balcony.

Lights

Make sure you turn off the lights in the area before shooting the rocket launcher. Shut off three of the four lights (the fourth one is permanently on). With the lights off, Wesker will be more vulnerable (he's wearing sunglasses at night).

After turning off the lights, he may begin a cutscene where he jumps to the north side by the bomber and picks up rockets. Run to the south side of the island in the middle to hide from the rocket(s) he throws. When you're fighting him, make sure you're on the west side, preferably south, so that you're in the darkness.

Wesker's attacks
  • Gun shots: Wesker has two pistol behaviors.
    1. He fires two shots that enable you to dodge the first shot (press X button).
    2. He fires three shots that must be dodged by running around or attacking him.
  • Melee attacks
    1. Like in the fight with Jill, if you're close to Wesker he will either perform a low or high spinning kick.
    2. If you are far away, Wesker may charge you; he cannot be shot during this animation. When he approaches your front, a quick time event prompt will appear with X button or A button. If you pull it off, you will knock him to the ground. It is possible to walk away safely without triggering the quick time event. On Veteran, this attack will put you into a dying status. In Professional, it will instantly kill you.
  • Rocket throw. Throughout the fight, Wesker will sometimes jump to the north side of the stage, by the bomber, and throw a missile at one of you. Make sure you're on the south side of the map, behind the large metal island/platform.
Wesker's vulnerabilities

Wesker has two moments where he is vulnerable (when this occurs, he must be shot with a rocket):

  1. If you can shoot Wesker, such as after he performs an action or if you counter his attack, he may kneel to the ground as if wounded. Fire a rocket now.
  2. If Wesker pulls out his gun and fires three times, you can shoot after his first shot and he will catch the rocket. If a dodge quick time event prompt appears, you will miss. If you shoot before he shoots, you will miss. If you shoot after he puts his gun away, you will miss. The timing for this is extremely sensitive, and can make this fight seem impossible if you never get him to kneel (method #1).
  3. You may be able to blow him up with a proximity mine. This strategy has not been confirmed.

After catching a rocket, have one player shoot at him with bullets to make it explode. After the explosion, immediately have both players run up to him. One will initiate a restrain quick time event, and the other will stab him in the chest with the serum (both quick time events are done with X button). Make sure both players are tapping X button, because Wesker the prompt will only appear for a fraction of a second. One successful completion of this quick time event will result in the defeat of Wesker.

Single player[edit]

Co-op[edit]

Assign one player to kiting Wesker (shooting him to have him follow them around in circles) while the other grabs the R-?? rocket launcher.

When Wesker is chasing one of you (and all three lights are turned off), have the person with the rocket launcher ready to shoot at any time. The person with the rocket launcher should stand in one corner while the other person kites Wesker to the other corner, then backs towards the player with the rocket launcher. If Wesker triggers his action to pull out his gun, you'll have a chance to shoot him now. Also, the player that is kiting will be able to shoot him whenever he performs an action.

On the bomber, quick time event cutscene[edit]

This section is a stub. Help us expand it, and you get a cookie.

There is some randomization to the quick time event (single button presses can often be A, B, or X), so the values given are only one possible version that may appear:

  • Chris shoots: X button
  • Wesker chokes Sheva: Left lstickRight lstick
  • Chris shoots: X button
  • Sheva shoots: A button
  • Chris reaches down to grab falling Sheva: LT button+RT button.

Volcano[edit]

This is the final section of the game. When you appear, don't move. Turn towards the wooden boxes and approach them. If you head off in the other direction you will start the final showdown. Within the boxes you will find rifle and hand gun ammunition.

Read over the next few sections before starting the fight, because one wrong move and one of the two characters will die.

The chase[edit]

As you walk along the pathway, a cutscene will interfere. Wesker will appear and open up one of the missiles, surrounding him with Uroboros tentacles, slime, etc. He will then chase you. When you regain control, do an about face (Down lstick+A button) and begin running.

There will be a small bridge. When both characters reach it, the second cutscene will take place. Chris will fall to the lower area, and Sheva must run along the top path.

Chris[edit]

After the cutscene is done, run towards the gap in the pathway and jump across by pressing X button. It is possible to run and jump across while the cutscene is playing by holding Up lstick+A button, however controlling Chris without seeing him can be tricky.

Run to the left and up the ramp, pick up the Green Herb if you have room, and continue to the top where it opens up into a large circle. This area is where you will fight Wesker, so become familiar with it. Turn sharply to the left and follow the edge of the circle back towards the start. If you get to this position quickly enough, you should see Wesker just after he jumps across the lava.

If you have unlimited ammo for a strong weapon, such as a rifle or magnum, you can shoot Wesker over and over to delay him while Sheva completes her long quick time event.

As Wesker walks up the ramp towards you, just before he gets to the point where the Green Herb was a cutscene will play out where the red orb on his back will become vulnerable. Equip your most powerful gun (magnum, rifle, or shotgun if he is in range) and begin shooting the orb on his back. If you hit it, he will stumble. Wait until he regains his balance before attacking more.

When Wesker has taken enough damage, another cutscene will occur in which his left arm will grow tremendously. He will then be really angry and jump over to Sheva's pathway.

At this point, run over to the north side of the circle and press X button at the prompt to jump down (it is much faster than running down the ramp). Run over to the boulder by the lava and initiate the quick time event. The order is somewhat randomized, but goes something like Arcade-Modifier-Tap.pngX button, Arcade-Stick-360.pngNeutral lstick, Arcade-Modifier-Tap.pngX button, Arcade-Modifier-Tap.pngB button, Arcade-Modifier-Tap.pngX button, X button+A button. The part that is randomized is when he is throwing punches into the rock; depending on how fast you can tap X during the first three steps of the sequence, may end up skipping the requirement to tap B button.

Skip to The showdown section to continue.

Sheva[edit]

While Chris is falling, continue along the path. When you reach the second bridge that breaks, stop just before it and shoot down the pillar just beyond. It will crumble and reveal the Diamond (Marquise), which is the final gem.

Run across the bridge and it will fall. Whoever is controlling Sheva must now tap A button repeatedly until she climbs back up. This quick time event requires a fairly fast rate of tapping, and must be continued for about 60 seconds. It can be very tiring if you keep failing this mission, so either take some time off or switch controllers if you're playing co-op.

When Sheva has climbed to safety, depending on how Chris is doing, you will do one of two things:

  1. If Wesker has jumped to the pathway and is chasing Sheva, run to the end of the path, grab the Green Herb, and wait for Chris to push the boulder over.
  2. If Wesker has yet to jump, you need to help Chris. Position yourself so you can shoot at him using a pistol, machine gun, magnum, or preferably a rifle.

At the lava, wait by the edge until the boulder is in the lava. Press X button to leap to the boulder.

The showdown[edit]

With Sheva on the boulder, and Chris near the lava, you have the option of initiating a cutscene. It can either make things hectic, or save you. If Chris is next to the point where Sheva will jump to, the cutscene will show Sheva losing her balance as she lands, and Chris grabbing her arm to pull her to safety. If this occurs, then Wesker will appear at the edge of the lava and quickly jump across.

You only want to initiate that cutscene if Wesker is already next to the lava, as it will reset his position slightly. If Chris had delayed Wesker at the beginning of the Chase and allowed Sheva to finish her quick time event early, then you will have lots of room. In this case, have Chris immediately run to the circular platform, and have Sheva hop from the boulder to safety and follow behind.

When the two of you are on the platform, wait for Wesker to arrive for the fun to begin.

Killing Wesker

Heart Stopper
Defeat a certain enemy by stabbing it in the heart.

Wesker only has a few tricks up his sleeve, and when you stagger him you will be able to kill him very quickly. He can be killed in several ways:

  1. Deal a certain amount of damage to his core (about 20,000-100,000). This will drain your ammo.
  2. After staggering him, have one character run up to him from behind and initiate the restrain quick time event with X button. That character will have press Arcade-Modifier-Tap.pngA button until Wesker dies or throws them off. While Wesker is held, have the other character begin shooting at the core.
  3. Alternatively, after restraining Wesker, have the other character run up to the front and initiate the cut quick time event by pressing A button. That character will start to attack the core with their knife. A successful completion of this quick time event will kill Wesker (which may be necessary if you've run out of ammo).

Wesker has a few attacks:

  • He will walk around and if he gets close enough to you, he will swing his arm around, which you can dodge with X button.
  • After being hit in the core, he will stretch out his arms and then shove them into the ground. Large tentacles shoot out of the ground and swirl around his body. When he begins this, do not stand near him from any side. He cannot be harmed during this animation.
  • After a while a cutscene may take place where he lifts his arm with the metal blades in it straight up; this is just a modified version of his regular arm attack.
  • He can shove his arm into the ground and cause a tentacle of Uroboros to charge after someone. It appears to move linearly, but if it is moving in your direction, don't stop running away until it has disappeared (just in case).
  • He will switch the core from front to back and vice versa.

Given Wesker's range, speed, and ability to switch the location of his weakness, the best setup for this is to have both characters stand on either side from each other in the circle. Whoever Wesker targets should run towards the other player along the wall, then turn him back towards the far side. The other player can then get a clear shot at his front and back.

Continue to lead him around and around until you kill him. Again, the easiest way to kill him is to stagger him with a shot, approach him from both sides and restrain him, then begin the quick time event that allows you to cut the core with your knives.

Wesker is separated on a small floating rock and sinks into the lava. A helicopter with Jill and Marcus comes in and drops a ladder for Sheva and Chris. When they are safely in the helicopter, Wesker shoots out his tentacles in an attempt to pull the helicopter down. Chris and Sheva equip rocket launchers and aim at Wesker's face. Both characters must press LT button+RT button to fire the rockets when prompted. If successful, they will reach the lava and cause a massive explosion of lava. Wesker is nowhere to be seen. The helicopter flies off into the distance.

Congratulations, you've won!
