Hello Dan! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up in community issues. Hey Dan, why did you change "manoeuverability" to "maneuvers at your pick" on Counter-Strike: Source/Maps/cs_assault? After your edit the sentence didn't make sense at all. --DrBob 12:00, 26 May 2006 (PDT)
Are you messing with the image server again? Cause they seem to have stopped working :/ -- Prod (Talk) 20:33, 22 January 2007 (CST)
Are you testing the Metadata? --Notmyhandle 21:47, 27 January 2007 (CST)
I think it's a bit redundant to have the name of the game 3 times in the infobox. I've moved some of the images to the walkthrough pages. -- Prod (Talk) 23:04, 27 January 2007 (CST)
Hi Dan. Just FYI, we've typically left the story on the front page. See Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, and Dragon Warrior. Procyon 19:12, 2 February 2007 (CST)
Thanks for wikifying the Metroid Prime Hunters walkthrough. 0-172 Talk to me 2:42, 3 February 2007 (CST)
Nice touch to the ToC, but I have to tell you (unless you already know) that exact same image has already been uploaded and it can be found on the page about Samus. 0-172 Talk to me 18:55, 4 February 2007 (CST)
On a topic totally unrelated to Strategy Wiki, from your user page, I'm guessing you use a Mac, am I correct in assuming that? (I use one myself, much better than a PC) 0-172 Talk to me 2:47, 3 February 2007 (CST)
Hows this?

Nice addition to the MapleStory/Table of Contents. -- Prod (Talk) 21:52, 4 February 2007 (CST)
Wow! I never even noticed that you became a sysop. Congratulations, and welcome to the administration! 0-172 Talk to me 00:24, 9 February 2007 (CST)
I know/remember we had some downtime, but I don't remember how long, sorry. 0-172 Talk to me 00:30, 9 February 2007 (CST)
Hey man, thumbs up on the image. I've been bitten by the Pokemon bug too, and I'm going to overhaul the Red/Blue/Yello walkthrough just as soon as I hammer out the Yellow "What's New" pages. I love getting more images to spice up this place, there are still too many text-only pages here, IMO...
P.S. The server was down from approximately 4:00 to 7:15 by my recollection. Procyon 18:51, 8 February 2007 (CST)
Please stop putting them at the bottom of pages. They're non-standard, and not used anywhere else. We decided a while back to use templates such as {{Footer Nav}} instead of them. ;-) --DrBob (Talk) 08:31, 13 February 2007 (CST)
Dan, when warning people about vandalism, there's no need to write your own warning: we've already got {{vandalism warning}} and {{vandalism warning 2}} available. :-) --DrBob (Talk) 09:46, 15 February 2007 (CST)
I started a discussion on making a pretty substantial change to {{infobox}} and I thought I'd let you know about the discussion in case you were interested or wanted to help with the change if it was supported. link. Oh, and if you know someone who would want to help out/discuss this who's talk page I didn't leave it on, if you could let them know, that'd be useful, thanks. -- Mason11987 (Talk - Contributions) 09:00, 16 February 2007 (CST)
Our main guide uses the picture and text method. Switching to something else should be brought up on first. Also, do you have any data about the walkthrough page being the most friendly, since a search brings up the main page. -- Prod (Talk) 11:57, 18 February 2007 (CST)
Please see here (I'm on irc if you want to discuss). -- Prod (Talk) 22:42, 1 March 2007 (CST)
Can you come on irc for a few mins? -- Prod (Talk) 23:32, 30 March 2007 (CDT)
Hey Dan, do you think you might be able to install PostgreSQL on our server? That's what we're required to use for our final project in DB, and I'd like to deploy it on our server. (It might turn out useful...) echelon 16:36, 19 April 2007 (CDT)
Could you enable $wgAllowSlowParserFunctions? It would allow the main page to have an accurate (and automated) count of guides at completion stage 4 (see staff lounge and my talk page for reason/discussion). --Ryan SchmidtTalk - Contribs 20:49, 28 April 2007 (CDT)
Please install this extension. This and other such extensions could really help jazz up the Main Page (maybe something like this site's layout), plus it appeals to Web 2.0 lovers. Thanks! GarrettTalk 05:53, 25 May 2007 (CDT)
Could you please update our ImageMap extension to the current version? It has a few extra features that I need for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Since the new version is just functionality updates, it should not affect the imagemaps already on the site in any way. --

I just got this error, I thought you might like to know.
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was: (SQL query hidden) from within function "MediaWikiBagOStuff::_doquery". MySQL returned error "1205: Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction (localhost)".--The preceding signed comment was added by Rocky (talk • contribs). 15:05, 28 December 2007 (CST)
