Welcome to StrategyWiki, Navy White. You've been making a few edits round here recently, and that's good, but you've also been making a few mistakes. If you look around at the categorisation, you'll notice that we have information on [[:Category:systems|systems]] in the appropriate category, and categories created for each individual system - no encompassing categories like "console". I deleted your article on consoles due to this, but I moved the content to the [[:Category:systems|systems]] category. Additionally, I noticed you made an edit in an archived community issues page. I don't think there's a policy on this, but it's probably best if you leave archived pages alone, and bring up the topics to discuss on the main community issues page; that way, people only have to check one page instead of eleven. Thanks for contributing, and I hope you continue to do so. :-) --[[User:DrBob|DrBob]] ([[User_talk:DrBob|Talk]]) 16:03, 6 August 2006 (CDT)

On the [[Advance Wars: Dual Strike/Walkthrough]] page, I noticed you have been doing a lot of linking (which is great to get around the pages quickly).  However, the way the wiki works means that with section linking the names have to be the exact same.  Please refer to [http://strategywiki.org/w/index.php?title=Advance_Wars:_Dual_Strike/Walkthrough&curid=5401&diff=82528&oldid=82487&rcid=60270 this] and [http://strategywiki.org/w/index.php?title=Advance_Wars:_Dual_Strike/Walkthrough&diff=82533&oldid=82528 this] for examples of what I mean.  Just click on the links one by one and make sure they lead to where you think they're supposed to.  If you need any clarification, please leave me a message on my talk page. -- [[User:Prod|Prod]] ([[User talk:Prod|Talk]]) 16:53, 9 November 2006 (CST)

Thanks for trying to keep images for [[Age of Mythology]] kept in one place, but the category name you chose (AOM pictures) was not particularly standard. I've changed it to [[:Category:Age of Mythology images]], and re-categorised all the images in it. Could you use the new category in future please? Thanks, and good editing! --[[User:DrBob|DrBob]] ([[User_talk:DrBob|Talk]]) 07:40, 26 December 2006 (CST)

I noticed a few small problems with your edits to [[Pardus/Commodities]]: you're using the "num" parameter of {{tl|All Game Nav}} on a sub-page (it should only be used on the main page of a guide); and you're using level-one headings, which we discourage (you should not duplicate the page name with a heading, and the biggest headings you should use should be <nowiki>== level-two ==</nowiki>). Please bear this in mind in future, and happy editing! --[[User:DrBob|DrBob]] ([[User_talk:DrBob|Talk]]) 05:47, 20 January 2007 (CST)

Conventions[edit]

Welcome to StrategyWiki, Navy White. You've been making a few edits round here recently, and that's good, but you've also been making a few mistakes. If you look around at the categorisation, you'll notice that we have information on systems in the appropriate category, and categories created for each individual system - no encompassing categories like "console". I deleted your article on consoles due to this, but I moved the content to the systems category. :-) --DrBob (Talk) 16:03, 6 August 2006 (CDT)

I'm sorry about that, I'll try to check for things like that. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Image categorisation[edit]

I see you've been uploading a few images lately. When doing so, could you please make sure to categorise them using the correct image categories? The image policy is viewable here, and contains all the information you'll need to categorise future uploads. --DrBob (Talk) 14:45, 8 August 2006 (CDT)

Section linking[edit]

On the Advance Wars: Dual Strike/Walkthrough page, I noticed you have been doing a lot of linking (which is great to get around the pages quickly). However, the way the wiki works means that with section linking the names have to be the exact same. Please refer to this and this for examples of what I mean. Just click on the links one by one and make sure they lead to where you think they're supposed to. If you need any clarification, please leave me a message on my talk page. -- Prod (Talk) 16:53, 9 November 2006 (CST)

Age of Mythology images[edit]

Thanks for trying to keep images for Age of Mythology kept in one place, but the category name you chose (AOM pictures) was not particularly standard. I've changed it to Category:Age of Mythology images, and re-categorised all the images in it. Could you use the new category in future please? Thanks, and good editing! --DrBob (Talk) 07:40, 26 December 2006 (CST)

All right, thanks!

Pardus images[edit]

I noticed you just uploaded a bunch of images. Can you please add proper image categories to each (game category isn't enough). And please remember to sign your posts (on Staff lounge). -- Prod (Talk) 10:01, 16 January 2007 (CST)

What sort of categories should they be in? A subcategory to the pardus category?--Navy White 10:35, 16 January 2007 (CST)

I'm not too sure what those pictures are of, so here are the guidelines. -- Prod (Talk) 10:52, 16 January 2007 (CST)
Unless you're going to have hundreds of pics, I don't think subcats are necessary. Instead of Commodities, put it in Category:Items. -- Prod (Talk) 10:56, 16 January 2007 (CST)
All right,--Navy White 10:57, 16 January 2007 (CST)
In all honesty, just about every image is going to have to be re-uploaded because all of those images are horribly named. It's not appropriate to upload an image named, for example, water.png. Without reading your image description, anyone should be able to tell what game your image is from. Therefore, all of the images you uploaded should have been prefaced with "Pardus_" (so you should have Pardus_water.png). It would be best if you went about correcting this sooner than later, because if it happens later, all of the image links in your guide are going to break and will need to be fixed. I'll get it done sometimes tomorrow, but how do I remove the original ones?
Label them with {{delete}}. -- Prod (Talk) 14:38, 16 January 2007 (CST)

Header Nav and headings[edit]

I noticed a few small problems with your edits to Pardus/Commodities: you're using the "num" parameter of {{Header Nav}} on a sub-page (it should only be used on the main page of a guide); and you're using level-one headings, which we discourage (you should not duplicate the page name with a heading, and the biggest headings you should use should be ==level-two==). Please bear this in mind in future, and happy editing! --DrBob (Talk) 05:47, 20 January 2007 (CST)
