Revision as of 00:02, 1 March 2007

Hi! I check this page daily, so feel free to ask me about anything, put in a request for a section, or anything else using the "+" tab on the tab strip.

Template: {{ZTP}}

Wait a bit before changing everything over. I have an idea to do that much more simply. -- Prod (Talk) 18:58, 7 February 2007 (CST)

What is it? I'd love a simpler way of doing it! --Ryan Schmidt 19:01, 7 February 2007 (CST)
Check the staff lounge. -- Prod (Talk) 19:45, 7 February 2007 (CST)

To avoid some of the extra ones you could do NorthTemplate:ZTP. That way you only need the upper/lower case east and west ones. -- Prod (Talk) 14:42, 10 February 2007 (CST)

Sure thing. Also, I have absolutely no experience in categorizing things, so could you get
[[Image:A From Wii.gif]]
into an actual button category, like
{{Wii|A}}
? --Ryan Schmidt 14:45, 10 February 2007 (CST)
Check the source for what I wrote just above, I think you got the wrong idea. Also, use for the All Game Nav and Footer Navs, they can be done by themselves. As for the control images, I'll try and get the template set up, though the pics won't be very good. -- Prod (Talk) 15:17, 10 February 2007 (CST)
Oh, I get it now! Thx! --Ryan Schmidt 15:18, 10 February 2007 (CST)
I've changed around the The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess/The Beginning/GameCube page so that it should be moved to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GameCube)/The Beginning. I'm still trying to figure out how to do the ToC though. -- Prod (Talk) 15:27, 10 February 2007 (CST)
Set up one central ToC with two tags next to each section that has two versions, so it resembles:
  1. The Beginning (Wii) (GameCube)
You could probably link the part that says "The Beginning" to one of them as well, to take out that guide's tag, like so:
  1. The Beginning (GameCube) --Ryan Schmidt 15:38, 10 February 2007 (CST)
That's one option I was thinking, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GameCube)/Table of Contents is another option. I think you're right though, should have both options from the same toc. -- Prod (Talk) 15:42, 10 February 2007 (CST)
I'll do it once I know which version of the ToC you would prefer (the Wii/GameCube tags or the Wii link w/ a GameCube tag, or something else entirely)--Ryan Schmidt 15:54, 10 February 2007 (CST)
Well, the way I tried didn't work, so I did it your way. I finished moving the pages and cleaning up the links as well. All that's left now is button images. Some of those options I would say you should avoid. For example, rather than saying Z/L target, just say target, and things like that. I'll set up the {{Wii}} template now. -- Prod (Talk) 15:56, 10 February 2007 (CST)
I had almost finished all the images...then you just had to go and add those two new buttons >.>.... Thanks for the reminder, for some reason I didn't see them on my controller :P (guess cause I never use em). -- Prod (Talk) 16:46, 10 February 2007 (CST)
Btw, the template only checks if |gc= something, the text isn't important, so |gc=True is the same as |gc=False. -- Prod (Talk) 19:45, 10 February 2007 (CST)

Organization of Twilight Princess sections

Don't you think you should use === Subsections=== instead of simply marking different places bold?--Dan 17:15, 10 February 2007 (CST)

Great idea. Why didn't I think of that? (I seriously didn't) --Ryan Schmidt 17:20, 10 February 2007 (CST)
Glad I brought it up. Great work, by the way.--Dan 17:49, 10 February 2007 (CST)

Potential significant change, could use input and later assistance.

I started a discussion on making a pretty substantial change to Template:Tl and I thought I'd let you know about the discussion in case you were interested or wanted to help with the change if it was supported. link. Oh, and if you know someone who would want to help out/discuss this who's talk page I didn't leave it on, if you could let them know, that'd be useful, thanks. -- Mason11987 (Talk - Contributions) 09:00, 16 February 2007 (CST)

Your opinion

It matters. Admins only enforce what everyone decides is correct. -- Prod (Talk) 00:14, 24 February 2007 (CST)

Cool. That makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside :-P --Ryan SchmidtTalk - Contribs 22:43, 24 February 2007 (CST)

Sword of Mana

Are you planning to contribute to the guide? P.S I've copied the other side of the agreement from Froglet's talk as well, thanks for the idea Rocky (Talk Contributions ) 11:10, 25 February 2007 (CST)

Yes I am. I'm working on the besitary and item list right now, and I'll help with the walkthrough later.
Where do you get the info from for the bestiary?
Guidebook ;) --Ryan SchmidtTalk - Contribs 11:39, 25 February 2007 (CST)

P.S User:Wikipedia has a crush on Kate McAuliffe has been blocked for vandalizing your user page (and others)

I know. People like that really need to get a life. --Ryan SchmidtTalk - Contribs 11:43, 25 February 2007 (CST)

P.P.S Does your guidebook have info about the item: Brownie Ring (Subland river), I think it's the best item in the game I found it by messing around in an area of Subland River.

Yes, it tells its stats and how to get it (I have the official guide from Nintendo Power, I'd be amazed if it didn't have those sort of things in it). --Ryan SchmidtTalk - Contribs 11:50, 25 February 2007 (CST)

Template:bluecell

I've deleted this (and the yellow cell one) because they're too trivial to require templatising. Just use the appropriate wikimarkup inline. ;-) --DrBob (Talk) 12:24, 25 February 2007 (CST)

Yeah, I discovered that after I hit "Preview" (I think you're right though) :) --Ryan SchmidtTalk - Contribs 12:37, 25 February 2007 (CST)
