When Meikyuu Shima/Kickle Cubicle was localized outside Japan, only four original islands of Cake Land were kept, although in an easier form. Of the remaining twelve, eleven were moved to Toy Land and the Special Level and one was completely removed. The Western version of Cake Land features eleven islands from the Japanese Fruit Land and one new island.

Boss: Kapan

Kapan
Kappa, Japanese version

In the original version, Kapan is a Kappa, a turtle-goblin from Japanese folklore.

Kapan attacks throwing giant shells that split into four upon impact. In order to defeat him, Kickle has to kick back at him 5 shells in the Western version, or 7 shells in the original version.
