In Find Mii you are asked to pick out certain Miis from a crowd. Most of the time you are told to find look-alikes from the crowd, but other tasks include picking the odd one out and finding the "sleepyhead". You are constantly against the clock for this game, and each time you complete a task, you get 10 seconds added to your time – although the timer can never go above 120 seconds. To select the Mii or Miis you want, hover the hand cursor over them with and press .
As you progress, the crowds of Miis get larger and larger, and they start to move faster in the levels where they're not standing still. Also, when finding look-alikes, you'll be asked to match more of them as the game progresses (the maximum is five look-alikes, from Level 81.) Level 99 is the final level, and the game will end with an 'Awesome!' message if this level is completed.
Tasks
Find the fastest Mii
This is one of the easier tasks – just look for the Mii that is running or swimming faster than all the others, and barging their way through the crowd.
Find the odd one out
In the easiest version of this task the Miis are watching a tennis game (which the player does not see), but some of the Miis are not looking at the ball. The Miis that are not looking the same way as other Miis are the odd ones out. In later levels, the scenario changes and you have a group of Miis walking down the screen. You have to look very closely and pick out the one that is not walking in perfect step with the rest.
Find the Mii you are using
Pretty self-explanatory; just pick out the Mii that you are using to play the game.
Pick a favourite
It doesn't matter which Mii you choose here. Just make sure it's a very easy one to recognise, as you'll be asked to pick him/her out of a crowd later on.
Find your favourite
This level comes up about three levels after "Pick a favourite", and all you have to do is remember which Mii you picked as your fave, and find him/her on screen.
Find the sleepyhead
You just have to choose the Miis that have their heads down as if they are sleeping.
Find this Mii
You are shown a Mii's face and must find them in the crowd.
Settings
There are several different settings that the Miis can be in for each task, including swimming, crossing the road and floating in space.
Steps
In the steps area, there is several rows of Miis standing.
Water
In the water area, the Miis are swimming in the area. In later levels they will keep their heads down under water longer, making it harder to identify them.
Escalators
A set of three escalators, all going down. They are more crowded and move faster in later levels. The patterns repeat, so if you identify the correct Miis, you can save some time by selecting them at the top of the escalators before they fully appear. Remember that the correct pair of Miis never share the same escalator, they are always placed on different ones.
Space
In space the Miis are spread out and can be in different orientations, such as upside-down or sideways, making it more difficult to match them to the picture or each other.
Darkness
Darkness is combined with other settings, and involves a pitch black level with a roving spotlight controlled by the movement. This limits your field of view to just one or a few Miis at a time, adding an element of memorization to the game.
Cheating
Although there is no in-game method of cheating, if you have some way to record the game (digital camera, video capture, etc.) you can pause the game and take your time finding the Miis from the reproduction.
