The characters from Goku Hishōden are from the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series, except for Clone Goku, who is an original character for the game to help the player get used to the game's fighting mechanics. This does not include characters that aren't fighters, apart from the trainers. A few NPCs, like Gohan and Bulma, are seen throughout the game but are only talked to by Goku.
