You will drive a tank in a mission. Driving a tank is rather straight forward, use the WASD keys to drive around and use the mouse to swivel the turret. Use the Space button to orient the chassis with the turret. You can only operate the main cannon, but the machine gun will automatically fire at infantry. Stay in motion and reorient yourself regularly to avoid getting stuck. More will be covered on the corresponding mission.

==Basic HUD==

The image to the right shows the basic components of your heads-up display. You can turn it off for a more realistic gaming experience, but because it's so useful it's advisable to turn it on.
===Key===
Click on the image to see the numbers.
#Your compass. Your compass is vital to finding your next objective, which is marked by the star. The star may have an arrow pointing up or down next to it; this signifies that your objective is above or below you. Also visible are your allies, marked by green triangles. Although its use is most obvious in the Campaign to find your next objective, you can also use it to check where your comrades are and see where the fighting is fiercest and thus plan your strategy.
#Your stance. You may go prone, crouched, or standing. Right now, the HUD signifies a crouched position.
#Your crosshairs. If you look carefully, you'll see your crosshairs, which are plain white lines, four in all. They will come closer together when you are staying still and move apart from each other when you are firing or moving, reflective of your accuracy.
#Your hit detector. Your hit detector is a vital tool. If you see it flash, quickly turn to the direction whatever's hurting you.
#Your health bar. When full, it starts green, but fades to yellow to orange to red as you accumulate damage. Keep a close eye on your health and when it gets low, go back and scavenge for some health.
#Your ammo counter. The first number tells you how many rounds are in your clip/magazine, while the second tells you how much spare ammo you are holding. Keep a close eye on this and reload after every firefight, you don't want to get caught offguard. In the case of grenades, only the second number will be displayed, showing the number of grenades you have.
===Other HUD components===
*Status text appears just above your compass. It displays dialogue, health pickup, and weapon swaps. In multiplayer, it displays the most recent kills.
*Timer. The timer appears in between the stance indicator and the healthbar. Some objectives/missions are timed, and all multiplayer games are timed.
*To the top right corner is the weapons indicator. It only appears when you switch weapons or firing modes, displaying the weapons and the firing mode that you are currently in.
*Messages will pop up from time to time in multiplayer displaying the fact that you killed someone. It is typically above the timer.
