Rayman is a series of games by Ubisoft and various other developers, published by Ubisoft. The original platforming game was directed by Michel Ancel, who also worked on Rayman 2, the first two Raving Rabbids games, and most recently, Rayman Origins. Although the core series has remained focused on platforming, spinoffs visit other genres, such as the "Raving Rabbids" series of party games.
Entries in the Rayman series are frequently ported to new platforms, sometimes under different names. For instance, Rayman 2 is available on 3DS as Rayman 3D, a port that took place over a decade after the system's release.
