A Pocket PC is a handheld computer that runs Windows CE. There are currently many different models including some made by Dell, Hewlett Packard and High Tech Computer Corporation. Some Pocket PCs include GPS receivers, can play multimedia files and browse the internet.
For a handheld device to be classified as a Pocket PC it must:
- Run Windows CE/Windows Mobile.
- Be based on an ARM version 4 compatible CPU, Intel XScale CPU, MIPS CPU or SH3 CPU.
- Include a touchscreen, D-pad and buttons.
