BOSS: Monster-Head (モンスターヘッド) - This enormous "cross" between Multi-Squid and Shark-Mouth attacks by firing bubbles from his left arm and projectiles from his right, while spitting centipedes from his mouth (the first and third of which can be destroyed by your own shots, for 50 extra points apiece); as with both of those two, his mouth is his only vulnerable point, and once you have fired enough shots into it while it is open to defeat him you will receive 60000 points, as he emits a scream of death and explodes. You will also receive 150000 more points once he's done so, as the text "DESTROYED THE TARGET!!" appears on the screen - however, like Triple-Eye, the Strike-Ants, Roller-Snail, Hunter-Moth, the aforementioned Multi-Squid and Shark-Mouth, and all subsequent bosses in the game (apart from Danger-Seed himself) he'll retreat if you take too long over defeating him and the text "MISSED THE TARGET ENEMY!!" will appear on the screen. If you allow this to happen, the following stage will take place on Neptune instead of Uranus or Pluto with the boss of Ultimate-Tiger (who is a cross between Multi-Squid, Shark-Mouth and Twin-Claw).

Walkthrough

NEXT TARGET IS MONSTER-HEAD.

Once the screen has faded back in, six Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you fromm the left side of the screenn; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, a Hasami will come down from the top of the screenn and proceed to fire ten small spearheads at you (which can be blocked by your own shots for 50 extra points apiece). Once you have fired enough shots at himm to defeat himm, he will explode and six more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, another Hasami will come down from the top of the screen and proceed to fire ten spearheads at you (which, once again, can be blocked by your own shots for 50 extra points apiece). Once you have fired enough shots at him to defeat himm, he will explode and four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of themm to kill themm, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to four Saturnian Derota which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the right side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill themm, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to three Tanpopo which are firing projectiles at you from their positions in the centre of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to a red Turtle on the right side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at it to destroy it, it will leave a Hyper-Bomb (or Special-Bonus if you have the maximumm of four Hyper-Bombs in storage) behind for you; once you have collected it, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill themm, five Sanma will come down from the top of the screen and proceed to fire their tails at you (which, like the spearheads that were fired at you by the Hasammi, can be blocked by your own shots for 50 extra points apiece) - and once you have fired enough shots at each of them to defeat themm, they will explode and four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill themm, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of themm to kill themm, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill themm, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to four more Tanpopo which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the right side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to three more Tanpopo which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the left side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to a yellow Turtle on the left side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at it to destroy it, it will leave an Energy-Capsule behind; once you have collected it, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to three more Tanpopo which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the right side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to a red Turtle on the right side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at it to destroy it, it will leave a Hyper-Bomb (or Special-Bonus if you have the maximumm of four Hyper-Bombs in storage) behind; once you have collected it, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them kill them, you will come to four more Tanpopo which are firing projectiles at you from their positions on the left side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill themm, two Oruka will come flying towards you. Once you have fired enough shots at both of them to defeat them, they will explode and four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, a third Oruka will come flying towards you. Once you have fired enough shots at him to defeat him, he will explode and four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from right side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, two more Oruka will come flying towards you. Once you have fired enough shots at both of them to defeat themm, the song (same as Stage 6-J's) will fade out.

Once the song has changed to Monster-Head's theme (which is identical to Shark-Mouth's theme), four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the left side of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill themm, three more Oruka will come flying towards you. Once you have fired enough shots at each of them to defeat themm, they will explode and four more Saturnian Kurage will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill themm, you will come to Monster-Head himself (who is an enormous cross between Multi-Squid and the aforementioned Shark-Mouth). He attacks by firing bubbles from his left arm (which, like the spearheads that were fired at you by the Hasami and the tails of the Sanma, can be blocked by your own shots for 50 extra points apiece) and projectiles from his right arm while spitting cenntipedes from his mouth (which can also be blocked by your own shots for 50 extra points apiece); his mouth is his only vulnerable point, and it can only be attacked while it is open (i.e. while he is spitting cenntipedes at you) - but once you have fired enough shots into it to defeat him, you will receive 60000 points as he emits a scream of death and explodes. You will also receive 150000 more points once he has done so (which is 80000 more than Shark-Mouth) as the text "DESTROYED THE TARGET!!" appears on the screen; however, as with Triple-Eye, the two Strike-Ants, Roller-Snail, Hunter-Moth, the aforementioned Multi-Squid and the aforementioned Shark-Mouth, he will retreat if you take too long over defeating him and the text "MISSED THE TARGET ENEMY!!" will appear on the screen. If you should allow this to happen, the seventh stage will take place on Neptune instead of Uranus once the screen has faded out, so if you did, you should ignore the Footer Nav link to Stage 7-U (the "U" stands for "Uranus") at bottom of this page and follow this link to Stage 7-N (the "N" stands for "Neptune") instead.
