Donkey Kong Country/Kongs

Donkey Kong

Donkey Kong or DK is the head ruler of Kongo Bongo Island and hears the bad news of the Kong's banana hoard being stolen by the Kremlings. He's disappointed about it and must get them back. This strong ape is capable of pounding a lot of enemies but cannot do this quest alone and requires his friend's help.

Diddy Kong

Diddy Kong is the brother of Donkey Kong. He is held inside a DK barrel and is trapped inside so he must wait for DK to help him first before he can help him. This little chimp isn't as strong as DK but is capable of pounding certain enemies as well.

Cranky Kong

Cranky is DK's father that gives certain advice to Donkey Kong. He really doesn't want to help DK because he only cares about the island too much and sometimes himself. He's old with a cane and rocking on his chair and scolds DK and Diddy a lot. Though he is wise, just a jerk sometimes but not always.

Funky Kong

Dis monkey is da man! Funky is DK and Diddy's bud who takes them all over the island.... okay, just the places on the island you've already beaten the banana guardian(boss) of and the place you're working on now.

Candy Kong

DK's girlfriend (who he talks with Diddy about a lot) is Candy Kong. Candy runs Candy's Save Barrel (who would've guessed) and can save your game anywhere. If you are on your way to a new part of the island and don't have Funky's Flights unlocked yet (other than Gangplank Galleon) you need to go back to the part you just beat the banana guardian of and save the game in case you die before reaching Candy's and gotta start over.
