Characters

ACN

The Anti-Crime Network (ACN) is the privatized organization that has taken over law enforcement in the United States, as well as participating in some foreign conflicts. The majority of the ACN's ground forces are "headhunters", freelance operatives certified by the Law Enforcement Intelligence and Licence Approval (LEILA) agency. The ACN works closely with the BioTech corporation to develop new and more effective ways of tackling crime, both at the prevention and retaliation ends of the spectrum.

Jack Wade

Formerly the best headhunter in the ACN, Jack Wade wakes up one day to find himself missing his license and his memory. Approached by Angela Stern to find her father's killer, Jack has to climb back up the ACN ladder so he can get clearance for the information that will help him find out what happened to Christpher Stern and uncover his own past.

Angela Stern

The daughter of ACN founder Christopher Stern, Angela hires amnesiac ex-headhunter Jack Wade to track down the man who killed her father. Determined and tenacious, Angela doesn't like the stonewalling she's getting through official ACN channels, even though the current acting ACN President Alan Sharpe is supposed to be a friend of her family.

Chief Hawke

Jack's former boss, Hawke is an old-style cop with a penchant for letting his subordinates play on their hunches. He strongly admires Wade's record, and is willing to go a long way to help Jack and Angela discover who killed Christopher Stern.

Alan Sharpe

The former Vice-President of the ACN, Alan found himself moved up in the ranks following his mentor's murder. As acting head of the ACN, Alan has vowed to track down the man who is responsible for Christopher Stern's death, but seems to have his hands full tracking down Don Fulci and controlling the Syndicate's increasing activity.

Dr. Zweiberg

Dr. Ernst Zweiberg is the chief scientist at the BioTech corportation, and the architect and driving force behind the Criminal Control System (CCS) implant biochips. Biotech also created the technology used in the ENP (Electro-Neural Projectile) weaponry used by the ACN's headhunters.

Hank Redwood

Self-confident and brash, Hank was the second-rated Headhunter in the ACN, before Jack Wade's sudden and unexplained departure from the organization left the top spot free for Hank to claim. Redwood will do anything to keep his top spot, and isn't pleased to discover that Jack Wade is back on LEILA's books.

Criminals

Don Fulci

"Don" Emilio Fulci is the head of the shadowy Syndicate criminal organization, which focuses on extortion and organ trafficking to generate funds. They've also become such a force to be reckoned with that "independent" criminals no longer exist; if there's a crime to be committed, the Syndicate is behind it.

Greywolf

Leader of the Wolf Pack motorcycle gang. Gerywolf is likely a nickname, but his real name is not known. With various crimes on his record, Greywolf is a notorious criminal with ties to several important Syndicate plots, although it's not known how much he's been trusted with information.

Ramirez

Going by the self-suggested nickname of "The Cyber Cowboy", Ramirez (first name unknown) is a psychotic criminal who uses various robotic devices - particularly acid-spraying spiders - in his lawbreaking escapades.
